The Murphey School Radio Show is a live variety show produced at the historic Murphey School Auditorium in rural Orange County, just outside Chapel Hill and Durham, North Carolina.  Talented writers and musicians from around the community volunteer their time for this unique fundraiser for local nonprofit organizations.
February 11, 2011, benefit for mental health agencies featured Daniel Wallace, Bland Simpson, Jaki Shelton Green, Jill McCorkle and many others.
November 12, 2011, benefit for agencies dealing with the homeless, featured Lee Smith, D.G. Martin, Frank Stasio and more.

The Murphey School Radio Show is a live old-time stage event featuring local writers and musicians -- a celebration of WIT, LIT and MUSIC in the Triangle. This is a benefit event to raise money and public awareness for local nonprofits.
The show on Sat, Feb 23, 2013, featured writers Elizabeth Hudson, Michael Parker and John Claude Bemis. Musical guests were jazz bassist John Brown and the Bucket Brothers. Regulars Robert Griffin, Jennifer Evans, STELLA, Jay Cartwright and the Piedmont Players.
