Folge dem Ruf

Heutzutage haben viele keinen Plan, 
was sollen sie tun, was fangen sie am besten mit ihrer Zeit an. Nach der Schule werden sie in die große weite Welt entlassen, für viele ist diese Freiheit erst einmal belastend. Soll es lieber das Ausland, die Ausbildung oder das Studium werden, sollte man sich lieber bei einem Betrieb oder doch einer Hochschule bewerben. Vorausgesetzt man hat ein Abitur, anderenfalls limitiert sich die Wahlnatur. So oder so das Leben schreitet weiter, entweder geradeaus oder auf Umwegen erklimmt man Stück für Stück die Sprossen der Lebensleiter. Jedoch treten immer wieder Phasen der Ratlosigkeit auf, man verzagt, verzweifelt und nimmt wohl oder übel Ungewissheit in Kauf. Vom Glück und allen guten Geistern verlassen, beginnt man das Leben und die Existenz zu hassen. Am tiefsten Punkt realisiert man schlussendlich, dass Dasein auf dieser Erde ist begrenzt und endlich. Es ist das größte Geschenk was man bekommen kann und plötzlich verspürt man wieder diesen unbändigen Tatendrang. Nun geht es unzweifelhaft wieder Bergauf und das Schicksal nimmt seinen Lauf. Man muss die Gelegenheit nur beim Schopf ergreifen, seinem inneren Ruf folgen, er wird dich zu Deiner Bestimmung leiten. 

Heute haben wir das DJ Duo MAMOR auf KataHaifisch zu Gast. 2014 folgten Max und Morten ihrer Leidenschaft zur elektronischen Musik und machten fortan gemeinsame Sache. In ihrem Sound finden sich unzählige Gefühlswelten wieder. Dabei sind sie stets bedacht, sich und ihr Klangbild weiterzuentwickeln. Eines ist bei den beiden jedoch sicher, es wird treibend und rhythmisch, versehen mit der gewissen Portion Wumms. MAMOR hat ein offenes Auge und Ohr für alle Facetten des Genres. Von Tech House über Techno zu Deep House, einschließlich Downtempo, wurden und werden vorzügliche Exemplare der genannten Gattungen zum besten gegeben.

Revolution feat. A-F-R-O is the second single from @daniel-nitsch-the-glitz’s first album “Broken Land” of his latest project @hounah. For this song Daniel worked in a creative cooperation with @allflowsreachout, the internationally known rapper from Los Angeles. Influenced by thoughts about the Black-Lives-Matter-Movement they declare thinking politically and questioning critically could be the first step for a change. Not only as a musician, but also as a human being. Rise up!

Visiting the unknown and exploring faraway worlds with other life forms.
Explorers with a thirst for discovery and jolly souls looking for festivities will both fall under the spell. 
Everybody’s invited to embark on the adventure.

Cicada is the name of an insect that makes a very familiar summer sound. I used this sound in the first version of the track as percussion but I eventually removed it as it was taking too much space. Every track that I make starts with an intention that is quite different from the outcome and sometimes even the founding elements are replaced. In this case, the cicada sound inspired me in the entire process but was no longer needed when the track could live by itself.

Ninon Corpet is a friend of mine. She’s not a professional singer but I thought that her voice would fit well with the universe of this track. Ninon’s high pitched voice matches with the fairy-like atmosphere that I wanted to achieve for Cicada.

This is the only Phaune track with a voice. I spontaneously write only instrumental music. I like voices but I’m not very comfortable using them and I don't write lyrics. But this time, it just felt like the thing to do. Also this track has a certain pop feeling I think. It is therefore drifting a bit away from my universe.

I wanted to create a “funky forest” feeling. I like when music feels inhabited with living forms. This is where my alias comes from. Electronic music is a great way to create fantasy worlds that you can populate with funny creatures. Though the sounds refer mostly to vegetal stuff, some of them sound like animals to me.

lange haben wir hin- und hergegrübelt, nun ist es soweit - eine nicht ganz so neue idee, aber mindestens ein brandneues projekt. zweimal downbeat in fusion, eine  fidele mixtur aus melodisch-progressiver Langsamkeit. als cluboider ergänzung zum eher verbreiteten organic house im entschleunigten Tanzmilieu. mit pitchschieber am Anschlag, je langsamer der Sound, desto länger das Vergnügen..

and keep in mind..  certainly no rush on the dancefloor !!

In the first part of the set I give a tribute to the incomparable Spy of Cairo, the king of Arabic dubs . The second tune is my remix of his track Beautiful Baraka. In the next part of the set, electronic classics merge the Arabic with the western world. This also as a BIG THANX to the wonderful work of Shango Records - who are doing their part to finally make the world one!

After a delay of more than half a year 
- everyone needs his/her time to be creative - 
we'd like to present to you our new free downloadable 
"Kopfüber Sampler II" !!!

It's filled with eight tracks and - as we like it - it builds a story with chilled but also driving & deep music.

As introduction you get a chilled Track by the experimental musician from Freiburg Lovvarion ( @lovvarion ). We like his collection of free downloads a lot and enjoy listening and remixing Songs from him from time to time.

It is followed by a slow & rousing track by one of our favorite live-musicians out of São Paulo, the Voodoohop member: EXZ ( @e_xz ). This one's with some nice experimental instrumental grooves and a calling to dance and enjoy the mood.

As a third member of our compilation we present you Stante Pede ( @stante-pede ), a young duo that has recently been presenting a lot of nice, deep & free tracks. We are hungry for more!

BLY aka Liam Soul's ( @liam-soul_aka_bly ) Track, filled with some great vocals, is the perfect track to enjoy mornings with. "Do not stand on my Grave, i am not there"

Next is a very deep & hypnotic groove by Vivian Hoecher ( no Soundcloud anymore ), who was also responsible for the mastering for our sampler. Thanks for that!

Knochiges Klangholz (now mikesch&Bobesch - @mikeschbobesch ), consisting of "Fuchur" & "Hans Klangholz", produce and perform live-sets with samplers, drum computers etc. This time they bring us a slow & deep trip through some reversed samples and groovy sounds.

Drums & groovy rhythms with experimental samples, some ethnic instruments and chilled sounds - this is what Mental Carnival ( @mentalcarnival ) has cooked for us, and we like it! "Ruhe" (Quiet) is a great journey! Enjoy.

As the final track of our sampler we'd like to present to you a very nice Trip-Hop Live-Musician: Calm Down ( @calmdown ). Her lovingly experimental music is full of emotions and will make you feel with it. She also released a new album, check it at her Bandcamp site: calmdownn.bandcamp.com/

Internationally-acclaimed for his Western interpretations of northern India's classical music, Stevin McNamara offers you this entrancing journey called Prana Groove. His signature acoustic stylings flow freely on a current of meditative percussion. A great addition to your yoga or bodywork playlist!

Prana = the Sanskrit word for basic primal vital energy which sustains and energizes the body. It moves through the breath.
Groove = rhythmic patterns which motivate the body to move.

The melodic element of Prana Groove is based on Rag Malkauns – a profound raga which is to be played late at night (usually midnight) – based on a pentatonic (5 note) scale. The large intervals between the notes create an intense emotional effect on the listener.

The tempo is 108 beats per minute, chosen for it's sacred Sanskrit value and effect. There are 108 different yet interwoven musical phrases presented throughout the piece.

"I created this music as an adventure into the realm of energy and movement," Stevin McNamara explains. "I used the ancient musical form of raga coupled with pulse and drum patterns found in trance and other traditions, such as Sufi Dervish ecstatic dance. I offer it as a celebration of life, of our connection to the earth and all living beings."
