Formed in 2022, Damian Kowalski's solo project, SKI, has evolved from its initial afrojazz roots into minimalist, intensely amplified arrangements with subtle modulations. Ideas that were originally part of a larger musical landscape in collaborations with other musicians or bands (such as KKZ and Rozwód) have developed enough to serve as the foundation for independent compositions. A pivotal moment came with the recording of the first material, soon to be released on Pointless Geometry, where danceability meets rough-textured distortion, and uncompromising creativity ensures the audience remains engaged. The production process, focused on capturing the organic aspect of playing an amplified drum kit - without metronomes and overdubs - has yielded material captivating in its simplicity and expression, echoing the UK bass, UK dub, footwork, and techno scenes. While there are many influences, SKI's proposal appears highly direct and fresh, devoid of pretentiousness, focusing on groove and the feedback relationship with rhythm itself.

The more time you spend on something with aware and conscious effort, the prettier it becomes.

I am MinReCuliao (Min), artist of Chilean and Chinese descent, grew up in both countries as well as the United States before arriving in Fribourg, Switzerland. 

I’ve spent most my life feeling isolated, feeling speechless due to language barriers, personal issues and environments that did not allow for certain expression. Growing up all over the place, witnessing the oxymorons of the world, peaceful moments such as beachy sunsets but also more tormenting ones such as huge fucking earthquakes. My work, invites a sincere multi-cultural and gender-bending experience which serves as a reflection for present forms, past memories, dreams, traumas.. from here, from there, everywhere, all at once.

Why look for consistency? my story is not so different, we've underestimated ourselves, we’re human?
Everyone I meet and that gets to talk to me, personally, will never be the same person they were before.
