Fideles and Kellerkind cross paths into a split EP consisting of six original tracks showcasing their individual yet complemental production styles.

Haptic’s murmuring vocals are at the center of Vitamins, a playful exploration of fluid atmospherics. A clanging bassline provides the backdrop for whirlwinding synths, as the vocals build up an enveloping, dance-inducing tension. Wave Echoes kicks in lively from the get go: a relentless, steady percussion tied into a wandering baseline are the constant mainstays. The melody slowly develops as a fuzzy wandering pad adds another dimension, equally spacious as it is heavy.

Carving light with synth sweeps and spacious reverb, Illumino takes shape as a deep tech introspection. Accented with whirring bits and maintaining an elated undertone, it effectively embodies the ever-ascending, never-releasing groove that’s perfect for peak time hours.

Kellerkind steps up to the plate with Subzero, a slice of cavernous dub tech. Breathy vocals and sparse ethereal elements set a dreamy mood. Underlined by smooth piano chords, the vocal develops into a full fledged hymn that is both emotive and mesmerising. For his second take, the Swiss producer embarks on a techno tinged journey. Opting for distorted synths and a stomping bassline, he aptly crafts a near dungeon-like atmosphere only sweetened by a lush female vocal. Teaming up with Sven, they offer up Shakti Pan, a meeting point between tribal infused percussion and deep-set riffs. Hollowed out drums and bells chimes touch on chorus vocals and manage to create a highly immersive experience, rounding off the release on an uplifting note.

While we may well have slipped silently into their 21st Year, Soma Records still have one final release from their 20th Anniversary selection to bring us… and it's one of the very best. 
Silicone Soul "The Soma20 Remixes" is a collection that brings together the very best remixes of tracks by the Scottish duo. Whilst some have featured on Soma20 EP's last year, there's also a selection of brand new and previously unreleased mixes, featuring remixes chosen specifically by Craig and Graeme themselves. 
Picking tracks from each of their four albums "...A Soul Thing", "Staring Into Space", "Save Our Souls" and "Silicone Soul", the duo have given us snap-shots from their career, all reworked and refreshed by some of their favourite producers. First up is their biggest hit to date, the crossover smash "Right On, Right On." With a host of remixes of the track seeing a release last summer, it was this late addition from Matthias Tanzmann that has become a real crowd pleaser and secret weapon. Its delicate layers and percussive elements tease to perfection and create a real pressure cooker of a mix that has already ignited the DC10 closing party last summer. Sascha Funke brings his bass synth and reworks "Under A Werewolf Moon" into yet another stone-cold stunner. Alex Niggemann & Marc Poppcke harness the original groove of "The Snakecharmer" and hypnotise us with their sleek, intergalactic funk. Darkroom Dubs favourites Of Norway turn in a typically epic 15min opus as they revise "Nosferatu" with typical aplomb. The Silicone Soul "Soma20 Remixes" features more remixes from The Black Dog, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Sascha Dive, Lee Jones, Matt Tolfrey, Tim Paris, Ripperton, Hatikvah, Freska, Maetrik and The Spirals…
