On her debut album, Salt, Roseau uses her amazing voice effortlessly to marry playful melodies and flowing harmonies. “Grab” is a highlight of the album, which has deservedly found a home on Big Dada, with @Tarquin-1 giving it his distinctive, twisted treatment on this remix – peppered with mutant snares and Roseau's warming vocals as the cherry on top.

The young maverick has a very long list of credible co-signs to his name (Murlo, Slackk and Mr. Mitch to name a few) and his last single on Gobstopper, Kid U, is pretty much as euphoric as instrumental grime can get. He is definitely a name to watch out for in 2016.

Peder Mannerfelt has served for the last decade as one of Sweden’s leading electronic artists. He’s collaborated under the pseudonym The Subliminal Kid with musicians such as Fever Ray, Blonde Redhead and Glasser and remixed the likes of Massive Attack, Lykke Li and Bat for Lashes. In recent years the prolific artist has released three studio albums as part of the experimental classical duo, Roll The Dice. 
In 2013 Mannerfelt unveiled a new solo direction under his given name, with EPs ‘Come Closer’ and ‘Stockholm Recorded’ via We Can Elude Control. These were followed in 2014 by the succinctly titled ‘I’ and ‘II’ as well as a split EP on Stockholm Ltd with label boss Pär Grindvik. In 2014 Mannerfelt unleashed his debut LP ‘Lines Describing Circles’, a ten track album that was met with approbation by the likes of Juno Plus and Fact Magazine. 
Alongside his burgeoning new artistic identity came a unique new Live PA, a machine-driven tour de force that he’s since performed at events worldwide, including Berlin’s Atonal and CTM festivals and Bunker in New York. 
2014 also witnessed the birth of his label, Peder Mannerfelt Produktion; a channel established by Mannerfelt as a vehicle for his revised production focus, but also as a platform for likeminded artists, such as the highly talented Klara Lewis. 
Peder Mannerfelt is veteran producer and a singular artist, one at the inaugural stage of a renewed and blossoming solo career.

Mira Calix has taken raw data from satellite missions to Mercury and turned it into music. The piece is simultaneously in 6/8 and 3/4 time signatures, representing its 3:2 orbit:spin ratio.

Mira Calix is an award-winning artist, composer and performer. Music and sound have always been at the centre of her practice, which she continues to combine with visual media and technological innovation to create multi-disciplinary installations and performance works. Mira has been commissioned by many leading international cultural institutions, festivals and ensembles including the London Sinfonietta, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Aldeburgh Festival, the Melbourne Recital Centre, Performa, Institute of Contemporary Art, Garage MCA, National Portrait Gallery, the Manchester International Festival and The Mayor of London among others. Professor David Rothery mentored Mira Calix on Mercury. It was a huge pleasure to focus on their particular energies and killer tracks while preparing it and I tried to be as various as possible. From lovely braindance to experimental electronics, electro and breakbeats, acid and dark broken beats and techno... Note : One week ago was the International Women's Day but we really should celebrate, encourage and support them each day!
They are rare, obviously but it's so nice to see that more and more are playing and producing nowadays. Also to see more women in the audience during events and in parties/clubs, it already changed a lot in a few years... Let's stay positive, a new paradigm is obviously possible!

I'm convinced that, the more women are involved in the electronic music scene - and not only with gigs and bookings but also as promoters, with labels and in the whole music industry - the more equal the gender proportion will be at some point. And naturally. Our mission, to all, is to arouse curiosity... with technologies, machines, instruments,.. share our passion as much possible to wake up more sisters & young Ladies!!

The Warp Records Bleep × takeover marked the last event at our pop-up shop in Dalston. Mira Calix, Plaid and Special Request all delivered sets that were energetic, playful and ultimately; incredibly fun. Here is the first recording of the bunch. Keeping with the bitter-sweet feeling that this were to be the last event held at the shop, Mira Calix produces an initially contemplative set that quickly morphs into a party-mix.
