A little bouncy number that we have been working on, inspired by a pair of sunglasses and a late night on the piano!

As well as the sunglasses and piano fun, the original idea was sparked by the idea of a leading lady. A sexy, mysterious woman, whom no man can resist, nor keep.

Musically, we would describe the sound to be a clash of Caro Emerald's Jazz and bouncy nature, with Lady Gaga's quirkiness and use of the piano, along with a hint of Paloma Faith's daring use of vocals, such as with her song "Upside down".

This is a cover of Ellie Goulding's recording of How Long Will I Love You, originally written by Mark Scott and recorded by The Waterboy's on their album Room to Roam.

If you were to look into a lonely woman's heart one night, when she's feeling honest, vulnerable, yet brave and loving this is what you'd find in mine.

The track is bare, basic, but tender and delicate in it's own right. Using very little technology and just keyboard with vocals, I wanted this track to reflect exactly how I can feel. It isn't perfect, none of us are, but maybe some will find aspects beautiful.

This Aint Love (But It's Crazy Enough) [Original Demo]

A toned down version of the incredibly popular "She's So Lovely". I was requested to cover this for my cousin's Wedding, to walk down the aisle to. At first I checked to see if there was another song with the same title, envisioning that she would have to RUN down the aisle to keep up with it.

It was definitely the Scouting for Girls song she wanted!

So I got in touch with my VERY musical friend, for guidance and help. He was brilliant, and this song ensued from our few music sessions. This cover was born in Cromer, Norfolk, enjoy!

A song written for all those times we have gone along with something or been left with no choice but to bow down to another's wants, and it has made us feel less than true to ourselves. 

A bare track of just vocals and finger picking on the guitar.

Sold My Soul

I wrote the piano piece for a completely different song, but unhappy with the lyrics I scrapped them. I then decided to just listen to the music and sing to it.

Musicians I feel that have had an influence on this track would be Paloma Faith and Kate Bush, purely for their vocal twists and turns. The vocals are quite stripped back, only adding reverb, and with no preempted idea of what I wanted they take on some sort of wandering through the song, and give a real insight to my thoughts as they unfold. 

Life Is A Perfect Mystery

A cover inspired by Nina Simone's Alternative take, but heavily influenced by the original version by the Animals.

I am Miranda Maurice, a solo vocalist, with the assistance of Backing Tracks, Piano, Guitar and occasional Guest.

I write and record my own material as well as covering popular songs. My vocals are sweet, with a mature undertone and bluesy twists. Singing is a way of communicating, it's a way of empowering and it's a way to bring people together without prejudice.
