YASHI005 Mirco Anek - Something Hypnotizing

A rare solo set that I played to warm up the place for our guest, Ranno Vollman, at Techno Wall #041 on October 19th, 2019, at College Bar.

Not the usual vinyl setup I use with my mates from @BACkonWAX, but a CDJ one, playing tracks that I don't own on vinyl (except for one :D) and fit my taste for setting up a good, introspective, yet exciting mood.

Warm up Set @Techno Wall #041

The famous Global Underground series triggered a huge passion for electronic music that gradually converted into enthusiasm and curiosity in understanding the secrets of his favorite DJs and finally got him among the graduates of the 5th Series of On’Off DJ School in Iasi – 2011. 

But the experiment escalated quickly into the first gig in mid-2011 at Embargo Iasi and it has a special place in the history of nights spent behind the decks. From that moment on, he was in the line-up of several parties across his local town in clubs like Embargo, Corso, Cafepedia, Queen’s, Zona, Soho, Skye, Vintage, Square, Sunrise and Lapusneanu.

One important milestone in developing the selector habit is the launch of “Label Leaks Radioshow” alongside his partner behind the decks – Iulian Toma – that is aimed at promoting the best unreleased tech and techno tracks, exclusively from the labels that support the show. Still going and on air once every two weeks on Radio Impact FM and 06 AM Ibiza Underground Radio, the show has a positive impact locally and internationally and allows him to experiment throughout a plethora of genres.

Starting 2014, he rediscovered his passion for vinyl and recently founded a new B2B, vinyl exclusive project, called BACk on WAX with his DJ friends Bug and Adyusro.

One of the recent milestones is without a doubt the launch of TECHNO WALL – A series of amazing parties, born to praise the Techno spirit in Iasi. A movement aimed to create a community around the pure Techno vibes for the people that dream of Berlin, London and Detroit, has developed into one hell of a party! Started in a cozy, intimate place, called College Bar, it quickly became referred to as "Boiler Room Iasi" and gathered more and more people around a unique blend of Techno, Tech and House.
