With summer coming to an end, and Ibiza's 2019 season about to close, elrow Music is set and ready for a very interesting autumn, with many highlights to come. To ease the wait till big events like ADE, we gladly present another promising debut in our releases. Hailing from Manchester, elrow music welcomes Joseph Edmund to the family, with this ERM166, that goes by the name of 'Brother Plz EP'.

Opening with the title track, 'Brother Plz (Original Mix)' is a bass heavy, freaky and groovy tech house affair, with a lot of crazy FX going on, making this a really fun and casual song for any moment on the floor. Following, we have 'Damage', a more driving track, with a powerful bass, alien-like FX and also more simplistic, making it perfect for transient moments on the dance floor. Finally, closing the EP, we have 'Flexin In Mamaia', the darkest track of the three, with a more minimalistic and techy approach, with earie voices going around that give this track that extra boost to become a true banger. We can say without hesitate that our next EP is signed by one of the most active members from Canary Islands' tech-house scene. Under the moniker of Alex Wellmann, the young DJ & Producer is in his element delivering peak-time cuts on top brands such as Miami's finest Mr Nice Guy or Danny Serrano's Eat & Beat. Alex Wellmann continues to grow his reputation as a rising artist of note as he shows on tittle cut 'Fuzzy', a vibrant track with hefty kicks and slick grooves that marks a great comeback on Roush. The next release on Libero comes courtesy of Italian, Enrico Bellan. Returning to the label after a couple of sensational previous offerings, Enrico’s latest EP is a welcomed solo debut for the Rovigo native. Featuring a trio of original works, ‘Jump Ahead EP’ oozes with Mediterranean flair and an undeniable coolness throughout - whilst retaining plenty of signature Libero traits.

Getting things moving, ‘Jump Ahead’ is a well-structured groove. Layers of precisely panned percussive elements create a fresh rhythm that is just as addictive as it is enjoyable. Using atmospheric background sampling to give the track a crisp top-end, it’s perpetual momentum will keep you moving till it finishes.

‘What Did Jack Do’ moves through the gears, bringing a more up-tempo level of gusto to the table. Scattered hats, shakers and tambourines sizzle right through the heart of its robust low-frequency flow. Tonal toms and bright sub-bass drive some melody into the mix, rounding off this pleasant terrace weapon.

Last, but by no means least, ‘One Saliva Bubble’ takes a darker approach. Very much tribal in feeling, the track has a hypnotic sense of rhythm through melodic instruments as opposed to the traditional drum and percussion methodology. An eerie and darkened jungle type atmosphere fits perfectly with the stomping jibe brought on by the track’s high level of oomph.

One could describe Mirco Caruso’s previous career with just three words: “haste makes waste”.  The club-musician with Italian roots’ approach to music is never contrived - nor does he care for exclusive hype or shallow bandwagoning. Mirco Caruso’s career is embossed by a gravitas that has consistently and continuously led him to the music that reflects his passion the most.
The steep rise that started with his first tech house release in 2014 - and was followed by broad international support and gigs around the world - suddenly came to a halt in 2020 when Covid hit.
Yet, against all odds, this marks the beginning of Caruso’s musical and artistic transition. After struggling with finding new inspiration and creativity amidst a world turned upside down, passion finally was reignited after visiting a concert that would inspire a profound change. A change that has ultimately resulted in his newly formed moniker «MICA» that represents an equally newly formed, inherently melodic and dreamy signature sound. One thing, though, remains unchanged: MICA’s impeccable flair for deeply touching productions and his incredible skill set in the studio. Surely, it won’t be long, until his music yet again finds its way back into the rotations of the biggest names in the industry.
