Greek duo Bonnie & Klein aka George & Thanasis have been slowly making a name for themselves through a string of well crafted releases on labels Music For Dreams, Timewarp and Uber. This laid back style hasn’t gone unnoticed by Ibizan legend Jose Padilla who put their recent track ‘Carina’ on his latest compilation.

B&K are not only producers of the chillout sound as their debut for Leng testifies. ‘Singularity’ hits hard from the off with driving beats and bass under haunting keys and building percussion. A late night dancefloor classic in the making.

‘Ergosphere’ sees them flip back to their laid back roots with a more classic chillout sound...

Contrary to the songs name, this interpretation of a traditional Afro-Brasilian candomble song, appears to be forged from mythical lost amazonian gold. Recorded in Sao Paulo with an allstar cast of Arteria FM (on vocal duties), Salvador Araguaya (caressing the Viola Caipira) & Spaniol (stroking the Baixo), steered by Nicola's production prowess, this quartet delivers a melodic enhancement to the summer sun. As if the sun wasn't shining bright enough already, the single comes backed by a remarkable remixer ensemble procured from their duties as fellow sun-worshippers : Xique-Xique's Dragonfruit Mix is a wondrous journey full of surprising leaps and bounds, alternating between hypnotic electronics and organic song structure. Saving the best 'til last he raises the energy whilst keep the beats low and the vibes ecstatic. HIT ! Crussen's creamy cocodub raises the energy whilst concentrating on a dubbed out groove, (that) classic Crussen bassline and carefully sliced & re-appropriated vocals. Finally in-house poster-boy Carrot Green's Granola mix combines disco, deep grainy bassines, juicy bells and signature flourishes into a bowl of magical mind-whirling hip-spinning edible sex. What inspired you to produce the track? 

MEG (@elmegmuzika) & @s-atmana: The tack was inspired mainly by the oscillating motion. We were having a deep discussion about sound oscillations and different types of waves. Also, the oscillating vibrations of the cosmos. We started experimenting and manipulating sounds and different wavelengths, which gave birth to a new project we kept working on and eventually called it Oscillis. 

Where did you record it? And how? We did it at Yervant's home studio, where the magic happened. Serge and Yervant are very close friends spend a lot of time at each other’s places. Playing around with different patterns and melodies on Ableton Live we recorded everything from scratch using midi controllers without any samples. 

How did you get in contact with the record label? 

Yervant was in contact with the record label. MEG had already released a free download on the label a few months ago called "Simba Bwe". 

What’s up next after the release? Are you working on any other projects? 

We are actually working on a funky edit together that is going to be released on our new channel “Musik Der Seele” which is launching very soon on SoundCloud and a tribal track with our brother from the Netherlands Deep Filip. We all got together a week before burning man and had some fun in the studio. As for individual projects, Atmana will be releasing a podcast on Magician on Duty sometime during next month. As for MEG, we will be releasing an EP album on Pipe & Pochet, another couple of tracks on a compilation on Nocturnal records, and then another EP on Souq records. So stay tuned!

Knautic's debut on Random Collective is two original tracks of the highest originality. Dark tinges, laced with a quirky edge and shuffle, and a contemplative patience about them. Every last detail has been put and placed with intent, to be appreciated for eternity. 
Remixing these beauties was a tall order. So we enlisted 2 capable parties, Random's own Funka picked up the pace straight to the mid tempo dance floor with a driving bass line and colourful use of the original samples, spoiler, there's a killer jazzy breakdown. 
Finally Kusht came in heavy, with an absolute smashing remix of Redemption. Its a trip, it hits hard, right where the club crew like it.

Our new EP is a mandala of earthy and electric tones blended together with soft, driving drama. Two storytellers join the Souq ranks; Turkish Omerar Nanda and Russian Zuma Dionys complement each other’s worlds with ease, gifting us with an entrancing piece of work where traditional folk sounds are curbed by edgy electric ones. Hebele Hubulu comically refers to the language of those who speak with dogma and pretence, its cascading vocals emulating nonsense words in a jaunty march forward. It is a call to reflect on how you speak to and of the world, a call on not taking yourself so seriously. Berlin Based Zuma Dionys crafts cosmic landscapes in his work, this time serving us the zesty Belantash, rhythmically coiling and clapping, reaching a peak of electronic Oriental groove implosion. We hope you enjoy this peculiar beauty of an EP.
