Oscuridad is a song about the shock and sadness that comes with the unexpected end to a relationship. Oscuridad means darkness in Spanish. Our main character finds herself in the middle of a tempest, and in darkness through this painful period of her life. The song is a mix of trap and salsa rhythms with electronic sounds that will envelop you with Mireya’s sultry vocals, and make you want to dance to the fusion of old with new, salsa and trap.

Then in 2010, she explored her Afro-Dominican roots through her all female band specializing in merengue and bachata- 809 Ladies Band. Some artists she has collaborated with include: John Legend, Miguel, Dan Auerbach, H.E.R., Sara Bareilles, Lila Downs, Eddie Palmieri, El Prodigio, Chucho Valdez, Bilal, Alfredo de La Fe, Arturo O'Farill, Luisito QUintero, Omar Sosa, Cafetacvba, Velcro MC and many more.
Multiple Latin Grammy Award nominee, Latin Grammy award winner and Grammy nominated with her band Flor de Toloache amongst other nominations for collaborations. 
Her versatile reprtoire allows her to perform in many different genres of music including House & Hip-hop with Dj Bobbito, Louie Vega, Tony Touch, Rich Medina, Crazy Legs, Dj Carol C, Dj Velcro, Dj G- Bo, Navegante and more.
