Medical text pp. 57: Age is an aggressive, virtuosic, and remarkably vulnerable piece crafted around the text found in the educational tome Cyclopædia of Practical Medicine Vol. 1 published in 1845. 
The chapter that this piece addresses is on the topic of age and its effects on the body through the multiple stages of life, beginning with nascent burgeoning growth and advancing to eventual unerring onset of decay. This piece manipulates the coherence of text and plays off of humanities want to comprehend speech in voices, often crafting phones and consonants that are similar to speech but contorting them beyond understanding. When juxtaposed with recognizable text and married with a plethora of timbral driven gestures and extended vocal techniques, smooth transitions between nonsense and meaningful text help to drive the piece through continuums of obfuscation and clarity.

‘Za < /< > zA’ explores the encounter between the human voice and technology, searching for a ‘trans-formative’ real-time composed performance that relies on improvisation and computer-based aleatoric techniques. 
‘Za < /< > zA’, named after the Hebrew word ‘zaza’ which means - “in-movement” (referring to a female), is also an experiment with words, and through this encounter, a new language can be created. 

Text Translation:
Ani Rotza Lazooz (אני רוצה לזוז) = I want to be in movement / Lehe’alem (להיעלם) = to disappear / Lehitkayem (להתקיים) = to exist 
Ani Zaza (אני זזה) = I am in movement

“Listening offers another point of view, an alternative perspective on how things are, producing new ideas on how they could be, and how we could live in a sonic possible world, and how we could include sound’s invisible formlessness in a current realization and valuation of what we understand to be the actual world.” [Salome Voegelin - Sonic Possible Worlds, 2014]

How can the invisible and shapeless sound be represented by a human voice and transformed into a tangible form like a word in a language? What kind of sonoric experience is created when we listen to a foreign language, where the words are neutralized from their meaning? How can a change in an environment affect our listening practices and the way we experience and vocalize sounds?

RishRush (=the Hebrew onomatopeia word for “the rustling of leaves”) is a voice-sound triptych that travels around a multi-lingual onomatopoeic space and inviting the listener to explore alternative listening practices, while loosening the connection between word and its meaning or between a sound and its function in an agreed sign system (=language); it is a recollection of the initial reverberation of things into a language;  an invitation to question the formation of formless sound into a material (=voice), and the fragile tension that exists between the actual vocal expression and its object: all the sounds in the world, including the silence.

רִשְׁרוּשׁ הוא טריפטיכון קול-סאונד המשוטט במרחב אונומטופאי רב-לשוני שבו מתרופף הקשר בין מילה ומשמעות, בין צליל ותפקידו במערכת סימנים מוסכמת; הוא היזכרות בהדהוד הראשוני של הדברים אל תוך השפה; הוא הזמנה לבחינת תהליך התהוותו של סאונד לכדי חומר, והמתח המתקיים בין הביטוי הקולי הממשי לבין מושאו - כל הצלילים הקיימים בעולם, ובכללם גם השקט.
