Mirror System (A-Wave Records) is the downtempo and chillout project of System 7's Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy. The distinctive Mirror System sound is based on deep rolling grooves and the subtle blend of rich dreamy electronica and acoustic guitar. Mirror System’s successful debut album was released in 2005. They have recently expanded their style to incorporate a soft minimal tech-house element, and in 2010 released a Mirror System DJ mix album Reflector, including remixes and collaborations with Tripswitch, Jam (of Jam and Spoon) and Bluetech. Depending on the party moment Mirror System can adapt their style for a deep chill set or a much more danceable groove – or a unique blend of the two.
