Till Monday is a two movement work, ‘Grave’ and ‘Allegro’ for Clarinet in Bb and Piano. The first movement serves as an introduction, presenting various recurring themes. The second movement continues the general mood of the introduction, but in a livelier fashion, expressing the uplifting traditional dance music of Iran. This music is inspired by the persian traditional styles’ use of harmony and rhythms.
