Sadly these are the only recs i could save from my beginnings with singing and in KP - i wish i had them all as these are NOT MY WORST - the recordings are not in precise order SOOO you can notice how i improve from each one. In the first ones i sounded more whiny - in the 3rd one i started sounding more controlled and coordinated. It's literally a before and after - WITHIN! - the before and after LOL. Each rec here i improved a bit. And was probably months apart from eachother. I was about 16 almost 17 at the time yet my voice sounded childish. AGAIN - this is not my worst of when i started. Sadly i couldn't save more. These were recs that were my BEST at the time i made them. AKA i sounded worse in person and it took me several takes to make each one. So it's not like this was my voice quality ALL THE TIME either. It was the best i could do - meaning there was worse.

I did not do anything voice training related during this time. Just singing for fun.

Journey With Singing (BEFORE AND AFTER)(Vocal State 1.0 Only first recs i could save )(Age 16/17)

So here my voice still was kind of childish sounding - but it had it's more deeper presence than before - sadly this might seem like a big jump compared to the first one - it's because i don't have A LOTTT of the recs i made - i only have the ones i posted sadly so there's a BIG gap in how i sound in one and to the other. In this one there's a sudden gap between the first rec to the other 2 you might notice. I still didn't quite have a lower singing voice though. Which is actually where my voice peaks the next rec - because my voice i guess was still not fully mature in terms of puberty? it did peak at a certain pitch and then my voice lowered and i kind of lost it and it was kind of a restart. The next one will be Vocal State 2.5 Which is where my voice peaked at a pretty high pitch. But then after as i said i lost it - it was temporary. And then it lowered and those pitches weren't quite there in the same way.

In other words - 1.0 and 2.0 were ONLY my young voice developing - 2.5 will be it's peak - and then it will kind of "reset" because my voice got lowered.

So this period of time (including the next recording)basically is a before and after OF MY YOUNG VOICE only. I do keep some of the qualities but my pitch lowers and my range decreases for a good amount of time compared to this. Overall the quality kind of decreases IMO. 

I still was not taking singing seriously - only singing karaoke everyday.

Journey With Singing (BEFORE AND AFTER) (VS 2.0 - There is no documents of 1.5 sadly)(Age 17)

So like i said in the previous recording - this is the peak of my younger voice - i barely have documents of that time saved sadly - but you can notice that my voice is at a pretty decently high range in this one. Compared to before. Obviously when one goes up the voice thins out so - if you have a childish sounding voice - it will sound even more childish!. And this is the result.

After this period - my voice started lowering. I will call that 3.0 EVEN THOUGH it doesn't mean i improved. That's up to debate. My voice did reset in terms of range for quite some time until i got it back through singing a lot. 

The whole 2.5 and 3.0 thing is not meaning that i improved - it's simply a number to keep track of the journey of my voice. And how it not just changed in terms of improvement but overall in terms of texture/tone etc.

In more simplified language - Before 2.5 is my young voice improvement timeline - everything after is my deeper voice and it's the more real timeline of my voice up till now. Everything before it's still a lot of improvement IMO - but i practically lost the improvements especially range wise - until i worked to get it back. In other words - my voice only kept SOME of the improvements of that timeline. 

So everything after this it's like a new beginning. Which sucked in terms of progress.

Journey With Singing (BEFORE AND AFTER)(2.5 - Range got higher but it went away in next one)(Age 17)

So as i said in the previous one - my voice got lower - you can probably tell that it kind of reset - it got arguably worse. My tone was deeper - but as a result of that i didn't have higher tones as decent as the ones with my younger voice. So it was a period where i basically had to readjust to the new voice and it resulted in a lot of bad recordings where i thought i sounded good but it can definitely be said that i don't sound good at all lol. And i sounded better before. So for those who think i sound worse - you can view this as a set back i had. Basically kinda had to start over with a new voice.

At the time i wasn't used to how my voice sounded - and if it sounded good or not (kind of tone deaf) - so i did a bunch of weird sounds that when i listen now i just say "wtf is that" lol. Now don't get me wrong - i still make weird sounds - it's part of the proccess. I guess you could say i'm weird in general when singing. I'm kind of very emotive and try to LIVE the song. And that can result in pretty funny recordings - that others might consider just .. terrible lol and like i'm insane lol.

But anyways - summary - my voice got deeper/maturer - and as a result my voice got arguably worse because it lost range etc - i had to adjust to it - which led me to make these arguably terrible recs with terrible artistic decisions.

Which it takes courage to do - someone could easily laugh at me. But it's all part of the proccess of improving. You will make a bunch of bad/weird sounds until you not only improve vocally but improve your ear as well. It's something that we can more easily tell when we listen to other people. But when it comes to ourselves - it's not as easy. Which is why it's always better to ask someone elses opinion.

But only people who have tried to improve singing seriously will understand that - those who don't will just say i'm insane lol. But at the same time - it was karaoke. And i did have tons of fun back then - because i didn't take it as seriously as i do now.

Next recording my new voice starts to get a bit better - and i finally start to attempt to improve through training myself with whatever i learn from searching the internet about singing technique.

Journey With Singing (BEFORE AND AFTER)(VS 3.0 - Voice Got Deeper But Arguably Worse)(Age 17/18)

So in this period my lower notes / tone was getting better - but you can clearly hear that i am still trying to sing with the style that i sang with before - and when i go up i sounded whiny at times and just not that good.  I was kind of still going for the "emotional" vibe. And that's what came out - which ironically still sounds childish lol.

I did start to TRY and train with whatever singing tecnique i could find but i was very inconsistent with it and really struggled to be disciplined with trying to improve my voice from a technical perspective. Training the voice is quite difficult and takes a lot of discipline and it's something i still struggle with today. Although my discipline has has gotten WAYYYY better. Which really helps.

I really struggled with for a long time to train consistently though - and it doesn't help that finding the correct information to train with is very difficult and i still get confused a lot about technique. Back then i was quite lost though.

After this period - my voice started to blend better - the high notes got more stable and less whiny/childish sounding and it all just started to work out better.

Journey With Singing (BEFORE AND AFTER)( V 3.3 My Tone Was Getting Better - High notes Whiny)(17/18)

So during this period my voice was starting to become in my opinion - more dynamic - it had more colors/textures - more flexbility - just overall more dynamic. It wasn't neccesarily AMAZING - but considering where i started i think starting from this one forward it's pretty impressive from an improvement stand point.

During this period of time i was training with whatever i could find singing wise - i would find things that worked for me through trial and error and would apply it almost everyday. I had a lot of trouble at times with discipline in terms of training everyday - i got lazy at times and didn't do my routine but for the most part i was still improving.

My range still wasn't great - but i feel like my tone improved a lot - and as i said dynamics. I could likely end the before and after right here and in my opinion it would still be impressive. Considering where i started and ESPECIALLY that i did not train with any teacher personally.  It was just all singing and me trying to learn how to apply technique through trial and error. Finding what worked for me and what didn't.

Of course the before and after will continue but from here on - honestly - these are some of my best from back then (that i could save - i had way more but they all got deleted - long story).

So the point is - from this point on - it starts to become more subjective then anything. You might think this is my best one even though there are ones after this.

There's a lot of reasons for that i will explain in the future. Hopefully though you enjoy the ones after this as well - hopefully even more.

Or maybe you didn't enjoy any of them at all - well it's all about the improvement. Not giving up - trying to be the best you can be. Hopefully you hear something you like - if not - regardless i'm still proud of myself for working hard to improve and not giving up. 

Learning to sing is not easy. On to the next one.

Journey With Singing (BEFORE AND AFTER)(VS 3.5 Dynamically Got Better?)(18)

First of all - sorry for the sound quality of some of these recs - some of them are quite bad in terms lots of peaking. 

Well - the end of an era - the place where i started my singing journey called KP aka Karaoke Party closed. I met tons of amazing people there - and it's the place where it all started - where my passion for singing was ignited by a specific person who kept me motivated almost all the way. Sadly they dissapeared before it closed so they missed a big part of my journey. Which was very sad to me.

But hopefully one day i can meet them again and they can see my progress and be proud that they believed in that weird old kid that sang like he was insane lol.

I did say in the previous rec that this and that one might be very close to eachother in terms of quality - you might like the other one better - or heck even one before that. All about taste. But in terms of technique - this recording shows a more technically improved me. Even if it might not sound that way.

I believe it sounds more dynamic in general - my range noticeably improved with some highlights hopefully noted in some of these songs. 

It was a long ass road - these recordings you see?... only a small ass portion of what i did in that karaoke site. I had about 200+ recs. I was only able to save these ones i posted. Because the site closed and i had no time to save all those other recs. The only ones i had saved prior to such and was able to save just before it closed were these ones.

There were much better ones in that pile of 200. I will never get over losing those recs. They were a big party of me and my journey.

But well - hopefully these ones are impressive enough and show a good example of improvement.

After this period of time - i'm saddened to say that i had BIG vocal problems - that kept me out for almost a year - i turned 19 at the time - and not long after turning 19 i lost my voice for unknown reasons. 

I spent almost all my 19yo not only not being able to sing - trying to go to doctors too find what the problem is and not finding an answer after countless tries - but i also wasn't able to speak. It hurt to speak.

My voice returned precisely the same month i lost it the previous year - in my birthday - august 1 (almost like a cruel joke). Turned 20 - which i currently still am when i posted this.

So i spent all my 19yo sidelined without being able to speak or sing. There was no clear cause of what happened. There never was. 

Infact the way i got my voice back - was by trying to sing through the pain! i know - crazy and not safe.

But i was frustrated and wasn't gonna take another year of my goals being on standby. I'm already 20 - i'm only gonna get older from here on - and the 20s are an age where a lot of artists have emerged to fame from out of nowhere. It's a key age - one could say the "prime" age of most singers.

Sadly of course - my voice went through a major setback - and it basically reset all the way to almost 0. I still had an ok tone - but my range - dynamics - everything i had worked hard to get was gone....

I've worked for months and months to recover back my voice with the better singing knowledge i acquired while sidelined for that whole 19yo (i didn't just sit back and do nothing) - and it's coming back slowly - but surely... it will take time though.

Still hoping i get it completely back soon - after this rec i will be posting recs from when i started singing again trying to recover from the voice problems. 

The recs won't likely sound as dynamic as these ones but still - its still a part of my journey.

I might have possibly improved in certain aspects - because of better singing knowledge as mentioned - i'll leave that decision to whoever listens.
