Part of the family since day one and ambassador of the community, Clovis showed us all what a great opening set is all about guiding all the valley back to the dance floor from their sweet sleep and preparing us for another special ride.

Centrifug is one of the key figures in Cluj Napoca's underground electronic music scene, being the usual suspect around the Pressure Nights events, hosting them in all kinds of industrial places and promoting the city's rave culture.

Misbits Sessions March 2023 - Centrifug

Prolific producer Macarie is certainly not your typical Romanian artist. His wide musical influences cover 90’s house, breaks, acid and of course his take on the new school minimal sound of his homeland. For such young years Macarie’s productions bristle with the swagger and confidence of an artist much more seasoned. 

This assuredness in his skills has meant he has already amassed a seriously impressive discography that includes appearances on Simbioza, Alter Hour, Kontent, and his own Midas Touch imprint. As well as the hats Macarie wears as an artist his talents also lie with his A&R skills for his label. Since the first release he has welcomed a range of domestic artists rising and established.

Moving onto Macarie's InSession recording for us and as you might expect this explores the various facets of his sound. From vocal house to house bangers there is always a few cure balls such as the Basement Jaxx anthem ‘Fly Life’. Not necessarily what you might expect from a ‘minimal’ artist, but this is the beauty of artists such as Macarie where deviating from the plan is always part of the plan.

Zya, a regular of the club, has a genuine passion for music and somehow draws the path by turning tables from an avid listener into a diligent selector. 

With layer upon layer of synth tones and crunch basslines drawing an almighty wall of sound, Zya taps us into the therapy of dance on the GH018 Podcast. 

Hypnotic and sweet, weaving together tender narratives, she takes us on a mix of transcendent minimal house, electro, and breaks textures, hitting that murky 5-AM-on-the-dancefloor headspace. 

The artist’s growing self-confidence and virtuosity can be felt as the mix progresses. Through the one-hour mix, Zya is moving from deconstructed toe-tappers to enchanting four-to-the-floor percussive workouts. It’s as if you’re being teleported into space until suddenly the bass kicks in.

The Toi.Toi.Agency welcomes great talent: Topper.

Topper has been a long friend and fellow artist with those on our roster and myself. Standing within the same ideology as we do as a group, the quality we stand for and above all, the moral code: respect to others and to our music, humbleness, dignity and a sense of togetherness by being part of this amazing unit of friends & music lovers. 

The Club Der Visionaere resident, hosts the infamous Noisy Glance party and together with Daniele Papini he joined Sleep is Commercial a few years back and became one of the djs/producers on which the label's sound in productions and parties is focused on. He is also a resident in all Sleep is Commercial parties in Berlin.

Moving to the infamous Pausenraum studio was the definitive shift into a jam based creative process through a hardware setup, whose outcome has been the foundation of the Dead Rail and Triptease project-labels.

The last couple of years he has also focused a lot on live performance, at first with the Triptease project with his lifelong friends Jacopo and Francesco, soon joined by their buddy Hugo. Together they came up with the idea of Mescaleros, a cutting-edge experiment with different performers joining into the live improv jam of the likes of Ambiq, Cesar Merveille, Ion Ludwig, Daniele Papini, Silent People, Yonatan Levi and Greg Paulus among others.

The Mescaleros project has already been performed in iconic venues such as Club der Visionaere and Hoppetosse in Berlin, Fuse Club in Brussels, Studio 338 and Red Gallery in London etc etc.) and delivered hours(up to 17!) of powerful beats and sparkling musical ideas.

Toi Toi Mix Series 20 by Topper

Leny Mailleau and Adrien Doumenge, better known under their artistic monicker Zendid, are two artists very close to the VBX family. Having left a lasting impression during their performances at our events, we are delighted to have them on board for our podcast series now as well.

The past couple of years their style of production and dj’ing has matured like a fine French wine :) Be sure to check out their forthcoming album “In The Shell LP”, and of course this podcast for some musical proof for all these lofty words.

Club der Visionaere is one of Berlin’s most beloved dancing spots. Hidden along a canal by Treptower Park, it’s widely regarded as the German capital’s HQ for reduced house and techno alongside its neighbouring sister venue Hoppetosse. Whenever we’re in Berlin we usually while away hours drifting between the deck and tiny dancefloor, something that’s made easy by an open end curfew, and the hypnotic tunes that roll out of the club’s speakers. 

Topper shared a trippy set of subdued rollers to represent the sound of Club der Visionaere.
