(Heartbroken) independent femme affirming nu disco meets my desire for everything to be Eurodance, combined with peak underrated club hits? You guessed it, I bring you yet another mix!

It's been several hot minutes since SO GLADDY: Vol 2 at The Lord Gladstone back in January 2024 and a crazy amount of time passed. Could I remember what I played? Not exactly. Did I still have something resembling a playlist hiding in Rekordbox? Yes. (Memories of) SO GLADDY: Vol #2 - 15 Jan 2024

SpeedComp 55. JFC, 30 minutes when you haven't created anything even remotely sound related in at least 10 years is not that much, is it? And it *is* audcacity when I didn't sit down and mess around with Cakewalk beforehand.

To say that I'm happy with what I've done would be a massive lie. But, I said I was going to do the thing, and I did the thing. It's up, it's out there and I'm going to crawl into a hole now because my ego is bruised beyond belief. However, there is the start of something there. (Debatable, but I also never claimed to actually have good taste.) For the sake of accountability and finishing what I start, I'm giving myself until 04/04/2024 to build on this so it's not entirely a shit sandwich.

Speedcomp 60. I have temporarily emerged from the dumpster fire that is my life to add fuel to my dumpster fire MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!

Cooked with BandLab on my iPad because I didn't want to get out of bed. I keep having to remind myself that I am allowed to be bad at things, because these samples were a lot of fun to play with and I want to keep playing with them for more than 30mins!

But alas, this is Speedcomp and not Slowcomp and this is what I have for you. I now need everything to stop being a dumpster fire so I can build this out properly. But until then, I return to the warm depths of my dumpster...

Untitled Take (SpeedComp 60)

So I played at Fortress Sydney's Open Decks last week (15/7) because I've been getting antsy in the dumpster fire that is my life. I liked what I threw together for it so I thought I'd do a quick (lesser because I use a DDJ-400 at home and I loathe not having a nice simple switch to flick between my effects) record so I can play with the dumb feelings/ideas my brain was doing better later on when the dumpster fire lessens.
