One year ago my daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer, and she had to have her right ovary removed at age 15.  It really fucking sucked to go through.  I made this soundtrack to what I was feeling over the course of her rounds of chemothereapy treatments.  I sent the collage to my friend BOSS T.  He came back with these lyrics.

“So today is the day when you have to promise me that you will meditate every night every evening maybe in the morning. Also whenever it is possible. If you can go into meditative mode you are in contact with this divine power then whatever is good for you. Whatever good for your Society for your country. All is done by the divine power.

You don’t have to overpower the divine power. You don't have to order you don't have to ask just if you meditate.

Unless and until your Sahasrara is open all the blessings of the divine power cannot come out.  Maybe you might get some money might get some jobs you might get this and that but your own development is only possible when you meditate and your sahasrara is completely open.

So even though something happened with somebody either five minutes ago or five years ago. What's happening right now is my mind is locked into woot and anger or resentment whatever the feeling is is locked in and it doesn't know how to unlock yourself. We don't want to walk around feeling angry or hurt here. We are feeling and ruin her. So meditation obviously is going to loosen up that locked state.  Because through doing the daily meditation practice. We are learning to be less attached to our thoughts and emotions. So when you're doing meditation, you may not be directly addressing the hurt that you feel it might be that you're just sitting there meditating and the mind starts planning menus or thinking what to have for dinner. But that's the chance to then come back to the breath which means you're weakening the attachment your mind has to it’s thoughts.

So this will have a profound effect on our relationship with hurt and resentment because we are training and being able to really, I don’t  like the phrase let go it's more about just leave it alone and not be bothered by it.

7. KIND MANTRAS - Sahasrara

“You know light has seven colors in it clearly discernible. Actually, there are many more.  Clearly discernible seven colors. As I said earlier if light became purple or red or something else it will be useful only for one purpose.  It would be not useful for everything but this is colorless light. We are calling it white light, but actually it's colorless because you don't see it.  You actually don't see if you look at the source you'll see it because it's reflecting from the reflection coming. If you look at an object upon which it is falling you see it, but in between you're not seeing light here, it is actually passing. You don't see it, isn't it?

Only when something stops it now you see this is lit, but here light is coming. You don't see it. So light is Colorless.

So colorless light if it's broken down becomes seven colors similarly, the seven chakras are a representation of seven colors, but Ajna is.
Colorless.

The level of Freedom it gives you when external things don't decide what happens within you is tremendous the amount of energy you have to invest in things that matter within you is phenomenal because outside things do not matter for you!

“In the beginning there was the word and the Word was with God and the word is God.  Through the word you express your creative power.  It is through the word that we manifest everything regardless of what language you speak, your intent manifests through the word.  What you mean.  What you feel. And what you really are, will all be manifested through the word.

The word is a force.  It is the power you have to express  and communicate.  To think.  And thereby to create the events in your life. The word is the most powerful tool you have as a human.  It is the tool of magic. Like a sword with two edges your word can create the most beautiful dream or your word can destroy everything around you.

One little piece of misinformation can break down communication between people causing every person it touches to become infected and contagious to others.  Imagine if every single time others gossip to you they inserted a computer virus into your mind causing you to think a little less clearly every time.   Then  imagine that in an effort to clean up your own confusion and get some relief from the poison you gossip and spread these viruses to someone else.   Now imagine this pattern going on in a never-ending chain
between all the humans on Earth. The result is a world full of humans who can only read information through circuits that are clogged with a poisonous contagious virus.  

Even worse are the Black magicians or computer hackers who intentionally spread the virus. Think back to a time when you or someone, you know was angry with someone else and desired revenge in order to seek revenge you said something to or about that person with the intention of spreading poison and making that person feel bad about him 
or herself.  As children, we do this quite thoughtlessly, but as we grow older, we become much more calculated in our efforts to bring other people down.  Then we lie to ourselves and say that person received a just punishment for their wrongdoing.  

When we see the world through a computer virus, it is easy to justify the cruelest behavior. What we don't see is thay misuse of our word is putting us deeper into hell.  

When  you are  impeccable with your word you feel good, you feel happy, and at peace.  You can transcend the dream of hell just by making the agreement to be impeccable with your word.  

Right now I'm planting that seed in your mind.  Whether or not the seed grows depends upon how fertile your mind is with the Seeds of Love. It's up to you to make the agreement to be impeccable with your word.

“The reason we use gratitude, by the way, is the two emotions that mess us up most is anger and fear and you know, you can't be grateful 
and angry simultaneously. It’s the antidote.  

Put both your hands on your heart and physically breathe deep into your heart. And as you're breathing deep in your heart feel the strength of your heart.  

Feel the power of your heart.
Feel the strength of your heart breathe into it feel the blood flow the oxygen feel grateful for your heart first. 

Because think about it. You didn't have to earn this heart. It was given to you.  You didn't have to prove your value or you're worth.   You didn’t have to accomplish anything, something loved you enough to give you the gift of life as long as this heart is beating you have that gift.

You can't be fearful angry simultaneously.  We all love when life happens for us not to us. We love coincidences because we didn't do anything something happened for us. You were going to do one thing and you met somebody that developed a partnership with or became a friend or the love of your life or maybe a business opportunity came from a coincidence or an Insight came from a coincidence and so valuable in your life something you're grateful for. What's the coincidence that led to something you’re so grateful for?  

Feel the gratitude.

Was it a coincidence or were you guided?

And as you breathe in your heart, you've been doing this for about 2 minutes keep breathing keep feeling it feeling grateful.  Let’s use this state.  The easy way to do that is keep breathing your heart, stay out of your head, in your heart and think of that situation that's unfinished business that stressed you put the past keep breathing this beautiful state and ask yourself this question ask yourself all I need to focus on and that situation all I need to focus on all I need to remember is what?
The heart knows.   All I need to focus on all I need to remember all I need to do in that situation is what?  Your heart knows the answer. 

Breathe it, feel it,  fill up with gratitude, you know what to do what’s next?

4. KIND MANTRAS - Anahata

“When you've wanted something for a while a long while and it hasn't come to fruition yet. Sometimes it's difficult for you to remain enthusiastic about it because you are faced with the reality of its absence.

It's not really absent. It just hasn't matured all the way into the physical realization, but it is on the way.  But if you take score while it's on the way because it hasn't yet manifested into something that you and others can see and hear and smell and taste and touch then as you look at the absence of that full manifestation you offer the contradictory vibration about it, and you don't let it
continue to evolve in the way it would if you weren't doing that thing you do that is slowing it down.

There is a vibrational reality that happens before anything comes in the manifestation and you have the ability to know about it, even though you can't use your physical senses. You have to use your solar plexus.  You have to use your emotional senses. You have to feel it even though you can't yet see it.

If you want something and you look right now and you don't see it and you talk more about what you're not seeing than about what's coming, you just slow everything way way way down and then you get a distorted view of how all of this works.

We ask you to come with us into the vibrational reality or awareness that we know because that is the platform from which all things come.
The path by which you will get to what you want moving over and under and around and through the resistance that is on your trail that you have put their that you continue to put their everyday because resistance that you put there last year and the year before and the year before that is not hindering you unless you're renewing it with today's comments.  That stuff will just dissolve. It will just cease to be relevant to your experience unless you keep it activated by your scrutiny of what’s come about.

3. KIND MANTRAS - Manipura

“The first excercise “In/Out” it means breathing in, 
I know that I'm breathing in.  Breathing out, I know that I'm breathing out. This is a very important practice.

When you breathe in you know that this is your in breath and not your out breath.
You identify your in breath as in breath, and when you breathe out you know that this is your out breath.  Only then, but it is very important to practice. This is the first exercise are breathing that the Buddha gives to us.

When we practice like that something wonderful happens.  Since we pay attention only to our in-breath and out-breath and identify them as in breath and out breath, we stop the thinking.
And this is a miracle already because in our daily life we think too much.
And because we think too much.
We are not truly ourselves.  Our body might be here, but our mind maybe elsewhere in the past in the future...

And therefore when you breathe in and out and become aware of your in-breath and out-breath you stop the thinking and you begin to be where your body is.  Our body and our mind are very often separated from each other.

And in between we have our breath and moment when we hold while breathing and  breathe in and out consciously.  Breathing in I calm my body, breathing out, our body and our mind will become one.”

“Thank you everyone for coming out this evening. It's not too hot and it's great to meet you all.  Tonight’s talk is about meditation.

Of course often is called mindfulness these days.
I'm also going to talk about the theme of happiness and the idea of developing compassion.

Before I became a Buddhist monk, I had no interest at all in Buddhism or any kind of spirituality. But what happened was a very dangerous burnout, and I was living a very extreme lifestyle. I wasn't looking after my health. I was going to parties all the time. I was drinking too much or smoking. I was really unhealthy in my lifestyle, but mainly also in my mind.  I was completely unable to understand my own emotions. I was having panic attacks quite regularly and these built up like a crescendo and developed into what was almost like a heart attack.  So this was very traumatic. I woke up one morning unable to move and my heart was jumping out of my body.

I was in bed for about four or five months very very ill and it was during that time that I started to read books about meditation meditation.  

And I started to really get quite turned on to this idea that your mind is something you can train and develop and you don't have to suffer.  You don't have to, the way you think you are now is not your ultimate nature.  These are the clouds. These are the weather. There is the sky behind that there's something deeper.”
