COSMIK DISKOTEK EP

I have been unofficially planning this set since I first danced at this stage at my first Splore Festival in 2014.
Official planning started last year when I was thrilled asked to be part of an historical Splore lineup - 100% local artists, over 50% female...... what a magical hour it was playing beautiful tunes to some of my favourite people and having my mum and daughters there with me. It was also really amazing to be able to include music from local artists, labels and friends who I admire(@sanoimusik, @beatandpath @beaconbloom @uone)and also includes a @maxmaxwellnz remix of a tune I made with my partner in crime @caves-7.

This was planned as the closing set of the most divine three day collaborative co-creation.... I thought the crowd "might" be starting to slow down a bit after three days/nights... they had other ideas. 
A shrine was made out of stuffed animals on sticks, at one point the entire dance floor sat down so they could get up again as per the lyrics of the track.... and there were at least two more DJs before everyone showed any signs of slowing down. I can't wait for next year.!

The Portal is a hidden party within a party- more layers than an onion and nearly as eye watering. 
I expected to open the festivities with some lighter grooves to help the crowd ease into their second night of the festival but once again they had other ideas.....DJ Crackwhore at your service

Club 121 is one of the best clubs in NZ, with a killer DJ booth and sound system, amazing staff and an awesome culture that actively promotes inclusion, safety and tolerance. Thank you!

Taniwhas Den is a hidden gem of a festival held in a forest near a river in rural New Zealand. I played at the Cliff Zone where a limestone cliff is the perfect screen for mind bending live visuals, and the set time was a great chance to experiment with a darker sound.

Not bad considering I was a last minute fill in, it was the wettest Splore of all time, and I had no monitors for first part of my set -the amazing sound crew managed to locate and instal another set without a break in the music.

MissB delivers a distinctive blend of driving basslines, acid-laced synths, and quirky percussive textures — a sound shaped by her classical music roots and the warehouse parties of her youth. 
Her DJ sets rarely stick to a single genre, weaving deep grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and unexpected twists into the dancefloor journey.
In two decades behind the decks, she’s lit up stages from Burning Man to Splore, Sonorous, Synthony, Shipwrecked, Rhythm & Alps and more, and has supported legends like Carl Cox, Basement Jaxx and Felix Da Housecat.
As one half of Sarah² with Mamadafunk, and one half of MissBatsy with Patsy Skeet, as well as performing live with MC Tali, MissB thrives on the chemistry of creative partnership. 
Her releases span local and international labels including paperecordings and Sqeaky Wheels, with collaborations alongside MC Tali, Max Maxwell, and most on the Cosmic Diskotek EP — released on Squeaky Wheels and remixed by both established and emerging talent.
2025 marks a shift in MissB’s sound- darker, edgier, and more daring with fresh collaborations and explorations into new audio depths.

Beyond the booth and the studio, MissB is a champion of diversity, gender equality, and safer spaces in electronic music. 
She mentors several emerging producers, sharing her skills to help them craft their own distinct sonic voices.
