B-Ju is a young producer from Hamburg, Germany. If you are following Error Broadcast the name should be familiar with you – in 2010, our very first vinyl release was with him (Dog Day EP, check it out).

 In 2012 B-Ju returns to Error Broadcast.
 His Prozac People EP combines instrumental Hip Hop with Footwork percussion and lush 80s synth pads. B-Ju skilfully achieves to make both your head nod and feet move - and eventually appreciate his impeccable taste in melody, texture, and arrangement. The EP is complete with remixes by eLan (Monkey Town), 813 (Donky Pitch, RAD), and our own player Monolithium.

There's a new approach, a new aesthetic emerging" proclaimed Clash Magazine in a recent write-up for the last Bobby Tank cut; a sentiment we have fully signed up for at MofoHi as we explore further into the unrestricted, explosive future-funk template being pioneered by the likes of Flume, 813, Rustie and of course the aforementioned Bobby Tank.

'Collapse EP', by the Barcelona-based Alizzz, brings together a range of influences currently feeding some of the most innovative and dynamic new music being rolled out by a wave of breakthrough producers advancing the legacy techno and dubstep has left behind. The result is a seductive and outlandish 3-track EP that purposefully switches back and forth between style, tempo and colour. 

Lead track, 'Collapse'-- with its outrageous drum rolls, dips and soaring highs, that alternate between uplifting and crushing-- is a case point in the post-dubstep, maximalism aesthetic. The swagger of 'B4'-- tightly cut beats, knotted bass wobbles and drum-shuffles-- continues to push the resurgent UKG, and the sexed-up machine funk of 'Arista' leans towards the slow and heavy, with a head-swirling, contemporary re-imagaining of an Rn'B classic.

Alizzz 'Collapse EP' will be available at Beatport from April 18th and elsewhere one-week later.

He is a firefighter, which is badass.

His music is a dense collision of crazy rap beats, sort of, and some kind of fantastic rave thing, maybe. His music is very badass, much like the fact he is a firefighter. It is also very beautiful, like when he carries a small cat to safety from a burning Russian building.
