Takseer started this year as event series that promotes electronic vibes with emerging artists from diasporas and beyond contributing to a cross-cultural exchange. Through a series of club nights launched during 2022 in Berlin, has opened a spectrum that invited the audience to explore and experience eclectic electronic music with hints to different cultures but mostly arabic oriented.

THF Presents: Takseer w/ Paulawar // 11.11.22

The third and final session with JazzaJ is called “Keserves” and was held on the 23rd of November 2022 at Létminimum Bázis. 

“Keserves” (Bitter Song) was originally a Hungarian folk song type communicating personal sorrows and deep spiritual pain. Its themes were often: love, military service, hiding of outlaws and runaway soldiers (“bujdosás”), women (alienation, lack of love) and older people (old age, abandonment and loneliness). It was usually performed with a stiff posture and an almost emotionless facial expression.

The bitter song goes for our losses.
