Today, we return to one of our most-visited locations in our Series, it's a pleasure to be back in Montréal alongside our latest storyteller @mikehaddad.

Take a trip with us to the French-speaking cultural capital of Canada, where we celebrate the Québécois way of life. To listen to his tale, we've decided to take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the cobblestone streets and grand buildings of Vieux-Montréal, giving us a European flavour in our mouths.

He exclusively recorded for us this one hour mix where dreamy emotional melodies and deep atmospheres are masterfully combined together to deliver a deep and emotive journey.

About:
Elliot started experimenting with and exploring music at 11 years old. He started off DJing at local parties and events, until he was 20 years old, when the mighty Ministry of Sound came calling. It was obvious at this point that he had a natural talent for the craft, and this was noticed immediately. Off the back of this first major gig, he successfully secured several bookings and went on to play at venues including Pacha, Eden, Cable, Lightbox, Egg, and also the now World famous We Are FSTVL.

As Elliot’s journey progressed, the addition of wanting to make his own music became ever more apparent. He began making edits of tracks he admired, until eventually starting to release his own productions. He has released on Seamless Recordings, Suprematic Sounds, Hidden Vibes / Keyfound Records, ThreeRecords (UK), Lovezone Records, Flug Lab.

We are transcendently happy to have New York based dj/producer, @christianvoldstad as our musical narrator for the 54th episode.

Christian acquired his love of electronic while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist. 
After some time as a free agent, Christian’s sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he has entranced audiences with thoughtful, layered DJ sets. His music blends a focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic, sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited to a nightclub dancefloor as a desert sunset, with enough versatility for everything in between.
Some of his notable bookings include Gazgolder and Leveldva in Moscow, Café D’ Anvers in Antwerp, Sisyphos in Berlin, Output and Cityfox in Brooklyn, Do Not Sit on the Furniture and The Electric Pickle in Miami, and Robot Heart and the 747 at Burning Man. With the upcoming creation of Bespoke Musik’s record label in 2020, expect to hear Christian’s first original productions, as well as a preview of his upcoming music project.

Born in 1989 in Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam, Bach was taught to play the piano when he was eight years old. Later on he took academic piano lessons at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, graduated the Intermediate Long-term program in 2009 and achieved the Piano Bachelor's degree in 2014. Bach has been playing the piano for more than 10 years now and this impressive sound has had a big influence on his music career ever since he started playing. He then discovered his passion of composing music and started his own project ‘B.A.X.’ at the age of 18. He has spent a lot of time to do research about electronic music and composed his first New Age / Ambient works.

He stepped into the movie filmscore in 2010 and started composing many filmscore for several short films, later on composing filmscore for Vietnamese feature movies from 2014.

He started the DJ career since 2012 with Heart Beat Saigon and since 2016 with HRBR (Harbour Saigon). Through many years of cultivation, the color of his Deep House music has gradually become an unforgettable symbol, a color that melody and harmony are the main euphonious factor. On the dance floor, he develops the music in different angles that you never know what is interesting to expect next, his selection of tracks will make everyone crawl out of their shell, as the music becomes the cocoon.

From here on, he began to produce electronic music for his own dance floor. In 2018, his first release Microcrystals EP was released on MNL label by Paul Hazendonk, the release has been miraculously praised by Paul himself as well as other big names. Also in this year, he then released his track Hallucination Rain in the Muak Sampler compilation on Muak Music label by Zaki, making him more recognizable in the world music scene.

In 2019, he established his new label Holy Grail Music, focusing on his passion for melodic electronic music. As he said, this imprint was a dream that he have cherished for years, an opportunity for him to gradually expand the music production with local artists as well as artists around the world.
