Next up on Unmasked Discussion is a spanish DJ settled in Berlin, Montero. Always true to his sound, always digging through the roots of techno&house -  More recently he co-runned a new series of parties in Berlin named “Gaex”, and is also affiliated to a newborn festival in the north of Portugal called Basilar. Though Juan enjoys throwing events, he is mostly known for his in depth knowledge in music and his skills behind the turntables. Constantly surfing between sub genres, Montero’s sets always become unpredictable and that is always welcomed in the club. 

For the 126th instalment of our series we present you this exclusive dancefloor mix recorded mainly on vinyl blending driving hypnotic techno, house, dub techno with trippy atmospheres and funky vibes.

W swojej selekcie przede wszystkim szuka sztamy pomiędzy oldschoolowym brzmieniem, a charakterystyką nowej fali groove’u. Lubi kiedy numery opowiadają jakąś historię, niezależnie od tego, pod jaki gatunek wpadają - co często kończy się dość eklektycznym graniem w tempie 140. Nadal kontynuuje swoją zasadę, że nie zagrał żadnego setu bez tracków z wokalami.

Knife presenta a Viscerale, nacida en Hamburgo y con sede en Berlín desde 2011, tiene un fondo clásico en piano y encontró su pasión por seleccionar la música adecuada desde que era joven. Ella descubrió la pista de baile en su adolescencia tardía, pero Le llevó muchos años encontrar su verdadera pasión.

Sus primeros mixtapes electrónicos aparecieron alrededor de 2015, lo que llevó a solicitudes para actuar y comenzó oficialmente a ser DJ en clubes en octubre de 2017. Ella ya hizo su debut en varios países, incluido Estados Unidos, jugó pocas veces para la infame fiesta.

Knife presents Viscerale born in Hamburg and based in Berlin since 2011, she has a classical background in piano and found her passion to select the right music for the right moment since she was young. She discovered the dancefloor in her late teens, but it took her many years to find her true passion.

Her first electronical mixtapes appeared around 2015, which led to requests to perform and officially started DJing in clubs in October 2017. She already made her debuts in several countries including the US, played few times for the infamous Party“ Herrensauna” and supported showcases of the Label “Instruments of Discipline”. 

Since April 2019, Viscerale belongs to the Label/Agency "Another Name" of the Club Ved Siden Af in Copenhagen, the city of her musical inspiration, which also makes her a resident there.

Driven by strong emotions and moved by fast, hypnotic & disturbing sounds, her sets are influenced by melodic, dark, rhythmic and Industrial Techno and usually transforminto early 90’s Gabber and Hard Trance. 140 bpm upwards is definitely her comfortzone, always seeking high energy levels in a playful way.

BIO:

Philipp Drube started djing in 2012 as part of the underground techno scene in Hamburg. He has been running parties and DJing ever since. One year later, he moved to Berlin and became a resident at Ismus in 2015. This year, he co-founded the label Space Trax with a first release of Dimensionhopper (aka Schacke) and Lund&Rønde in late summer.

His style is diverse and spacy, combining solid oldschool techno with trancy melodies. Specified in hard- and psytrance sounds, his sets become unique and special.
