From the beginning of SEKOIA, Fairmont has been one of the artists we've looked up to. To be able to share this podcast with you today feels like an honour. A podcast that appears to defy space, time and gravity, filled with filter twisted raps, biting synths, and basslines that not only ratter your bones but touch your very soul, Fairmont has delivered. 

Through the years, Jake 'Fairmont' Fairley, has delivered such high amounts of quality that these days, whenever you see something popping up that's got the name Fairmont on it, you can rest assured that it's good. From the legendary 'Gazebo' to the more recent 'Boa': it rocks. Taking it to his live performances, he puts the bar even higher, you'll know what we mean when you've attended one of his gigs.

As always, we have high expectations from artists doing a SEKOIA Podcast. This might be one of the best yet. On repeat! - FJ.

TRIPLE J Mix Up Exclusive 14-12-2013

For those who were asking what the mysterious mix that was put on after the DJs stopped playing outside at the Life and Death party in Art Basel, here it is. A mellow trip prepared by Greg from Thugfucker and presented here as a little thank you from all of us at Life and Death. 

It's been an amazing year and we're so very appreciative of all the support we've gotten as we've adventured forwards on this incredible musical trip together. We've got lots of exciting things planned for the year ahead (and beyond!) and we look forward to continuing together on this ride wherever it takes us.

“This mix is dripping with nostalgia for me. While touring across Canada in bands I would often take the night time driving shifts specifically to get to listen to music like this. It put everyone else to sleep but for some reason kept me wide awake and focussed. So this mix is for me, 10 years ago, driving through the Rockies at 4am so we could get to our free hotel room in Golden, BC.”
