Here was something wrong with his latest creation. It sat very still, staring with tense eyes at him in silence as he leant over the altar of his work. His instruments glinted with the reflected gold of the candle flames that lit his space, the cradle of life where he replanted embers of consciousness in the infertile grounds of the dead. Up until now they had stirred into reality with the confused motion of limbs, eyes rolling and hands moving desperately along the cracks of the floor and the edges of the doorway, seeking fervently a way out. But this one was different – her eyes had snapped sharply open, she sat upright, and since that moment her stillness tainted the room with a quiet malice. Her eyes followed him as he moved, inspecting his work beyond an arm’s length. The black pits of her pupils like twin gravity wells, cold tendrils reaching out and compelling him closer as though death’s hand brushed the back of his neck and whispered timeless truths with a whisper into his ear. He drew back, looking down at the dark blood on his hands as her eyes flicked over them. Reaching behind him, he grasped his chair, sitting down slowly, his legs trembling slightly before buckling beneath his weight. The oppression of her stare bore down upon him.

1 year ago, we lost a genius of underground music, Marcus Intalex a great talent and pioneer in the Jungle / Drum & Bass and Techno scene. Marcus is one of the main reasons i make music. Before leaving, I was doing this song called "The Gentleman" in his honor, after 1 year he left us - I decided to release the mp3 for Free Download. The song contains Pads and Synths in the line that Marcus has always inspired me to do, I used some Samples / Fx from "Golf" one of his favorite hobbies. Hope you like it! Kosen Productions are back again with another killer release. And their return signifies that not only are they a hub for newcomers currently building their place within the scene, but they’re also a platform for artists who’ve already made themselves a name across the drum & bass world’s moodiest corners. Their first set of releases at the beginning of this year signified the importance of 2018 for the outlet. They have been determined to make their mark and every output so far has met a growing set of standards; standards which were already dizzyingly high. Their impact is felt this time through the cut-throat productions of Mean Teeth, a trio who have certainly created their own path and since introducing the drum & bass community to their music they’ve not looked back. Their reputation has grown and their electric live sets, alongside their explosive cuts, have ensured a path to notoriety. It’s one which was streamlined by an intimidating production that hasn’t gone unnoticed by the wider dance community.

Their forthcoming single ‘Stormer’ and ‘Evil’ presents an explosive A-side and a just as menacing reverse, showing the staples of Mean Teeth’s signature whilst also breathing fresh air into their back catalogue. ‘Stormer’ slices through with the upmost precision, becoming more and more heavyweight as the track progresses. The track’s fearless engineering is built layer after layer, before you are totally left powerless underneath its composition. Mean Teeth delivers a shocking blow and this is a trait they’ve become renowned for. It’s the perfect addition to Kosen Production’s already impenetrable set of releases and this is clear from the track’s first sixteen bars.

‘Evil’ on the other hand does exactly what it says on the tin. It groans into life amongst throbbing drums that act as a gear stick for the record’s first and most forceful breakdown. Every swathe of percussion take you deeper into its core before eventually you’re left to become fully enveloped by its collective power. Mean Teeth has provided a statement for Kosen Productions; considering its not even midway through the year, the label’s shown a hunger which is unmatched by many other independent labels.

This is Recipe 70 which features 70 of my current favorite D&B tracks. The mix was made on May 21st 2018 and features the usual insane amount of dubs. The mix was made using 4 CDJ Nexus 2's and an Allan & Heath Xone:DB4 mixer, which was plugged into a Tascam to record. The mix has a total running time of 1 hour, 5 minutes and 15 seconds and features just about every genre style that Drum & Bass has to offer.
