Second Jamuary track. Once again, I was meant to use Bass VI for this but didn't really find a place for it. Oh well, at least I put my guitar to use for a change. Transition from chorus back to verse ended up being clumsy and my playing is pretty shaky here and there but at least it's got energy, right?

Third Jamuary track. Tried to whip this up faster this time by using a premade drum beat from Ableton and overall just trying to not think too much. Wanted to go for a bit of a baggy feel, and the premade drumbeat helped in that a lot.

Calamity

After a couple of missed days, I'm back. Back with a track. A track I worked on way too much longer than I intended. That's wack. The track ended up pretty good though so no complaints there. I went for shoegaze style, and this time I used my guitar, bass and finally also my Bass VI. Nifty.

Song Sketch #4

So... Song Sketch #5. Well, actually this is #6 but I was pretty disappointed with how the actual #5 turned out so that's left in the vaults.

For this, I went for a shoegaze vibe again. For some time already, I had had this idea for a drone-note-heavy hypnotic track with mostly hippy percussions. Now, I gave it a try and it ended up pretty cool. Interestingly, this track has no guitar, just two basses: my four-stringed old faithful and the Bass VI. 

Song Sketch #5

A new Jamuary track. Spent way, way too much time on this again. This was quite taxing to record, my hands are beat. 

Anyway, tried to go for a bit of a cock rock vibe but this ended up... just rock I guess? I don't know how to describe this. The rhythm guitar is pretty bad, and solo guitar is not spectacular either but at least this made me try my hand at it which is rare.

Here we are again, too late in the night uploading tracks... After this, there will be (most likely) only one more track. I need rest. But this has been educational.

This time I ended up with a disco beat. I used my four-string bass and my guitar. I came up with a pretty fun bassline, and the track is not much more besides that. Oh well.
