Still so saddened about losing our dear friend Ryan Bowers
. I was fortunate to know him threw the SD Underground Rap scene. Got to watch this kid develop his skills for about a decade or so now. That man right there had real talent. We did perform at many shows together on the same bill. 
Watching his sets and energy on stage, I grew to respect his craft and I also became a fan. When we would run into eachother we would always would talk about making music together one day. But never got around to nailing it down in lab.
Earlier this year we finally got in the studio. But unfortunately I could tell he wasn’t in the healthiest state, mentally or physically. I ended up canceling the session that day. So I could talk to him and let him know that even tho we were just musical collaborators, that I cared very much about his well being. 
I would rather end the session for him to get better rather than just ignore the issues at hand keep recording for my own selfish reasons. I told him to get some rest and sober up. He told me he would try.
Then the pandemic lockdown happened so I didn’t get a chance to check back in on him before it was too late. We never got the chance to lay vocals. I do still have the beat that he made for me. So do look out for this new jam I’m writing and recording to it right now. It’s dedicated to his memory.
I regret not checking back in on him cuz I could tell he was still hurting bad. So all I am trying to say is.. if someone you care about is having a rough time with depression/mental illness, check back in on them again and again. Let that person know how much of an effect they have on your life. Make them feel like they are wanted here in this thing we call life.

I go by the name Crhymes, I am a local San Diego Rapper. I also do uber, that is where I tune in on Sunday work shifts to check out 91x FM's Loudspeaker Show w/ Tim Pyles. I love that show homie. Anyway, I think 2 weeks ago they played a Halloween song by a local rock band called "Ready Set Survive" .. I loved that shit. So much so that I added a rap verse to the end of it as an unofficial Remix. I dont plan on profiting from it and am gonna give proper credit. Was gonna just release it on my insta/facebook feed for a Halloween freebie.
