When asked what my profession is I quickly respond by saying "I change lives through music all the while bring excitement, energy, passion and presence". I'm DJ Daz-One proud representative of The Mix Kingz Squad which consists of DJ Dru Nyce, DJ Dex, DJ Babyface, DJ Blackout, DJ Nyce And DJ T Lawson.

I started Deejaying when I was 12 for the inspiration came when I saw Jam Master Jay 2 years before at Fresh Fest 84 - The first ever nationally recognized tour w/ LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Run DMC, Kurtis Blow and more. The way he entertained the crowd with his call and response technics, scratching and mixing skills plus his overall abilities to control the crowd left me amazed. I went home that night saying one day I will able to do that and do it well.

I got my first gig here in Boston at the Yaz's Place (I was 21), this was before the digital age (or what we DJ's call the serato era) I remember carrying Records for DJ Plush for his wednesday night gig under Big Mac Productions. Since then I began spinning in some of Boston's most noted venues I.e. Pearl, Club 51 (europa), middle east, milky way, 360 ultra lounge, Blue Wave and more.

I cater to the audiences by playing a diverse range of music from hip hop, r&b, reggae, house, disco, funk, mainstream, soca, old school, slow jams, remixes, zouk and more. I also take my talents to radio as I'm a resident DJ/On air personality for http://divefm.com/ (the most diverse station on the planet). I do 3 shows 4 days a week. I can be heard on "The Main Event" radio show mondays/tuesdays 6 to 8pm, "The Mid-Day Mix-Down" thursdays/fridays 12 to 3pm & "The Red Light Special/Quiet Storm Sundays: Sunday night 8 to 11pm

I'm 24 years into the business side (set aside 16 of those years as a emcee) and I am so alive for this business because its what I love. The chance to connect with the listeners/patrons is the ultimate high and something I do not take for granted.
