Orange Blues

This composition is dedicated to the victims of the attack on the Sufi shrine in Sehwan, Pakistan on February 16th, 2017. This attack left 88 people dead and 343 wounded. It was only one of several attacks in Pakistan in recent weeks, but the most deadly in years. Media coverage and public awareness in the US of these terrible events has been, as usual, despicably slight.

Song for Peace

This song is dedicated to my grandmother Mary Fischer who passed away on March 2, 2017. Bless you, Grandma, I will miss you and your love and joyful energy and funny stories and coming to visit you in your beautiful house and eat some of your delicious orahnjača. Thank you for you and for dedicating so much of your life to creating and nurturing such a large and vibrant family. I hope they have good music on the other side.

This beautiful piece was composed by my friend Christopher Morrow for me, after hearing the piece I wrote when my grandmother passed away. He describes it as a miniature journey through life. We recorded it together this past week.

I don't know what this is but it features 4 instruments, 2 voices, a filter and my laryngitic counting. Conversation at the end between me and my roommate Povilas was him explaining why his rotary saw wasn't working. He fixed it. The subtitle of this song is "some kind of...killing machine"

This is a track I put together in about 2 hours for a short film called "Rideshare" produced by Roy Torres for submission to the 48-hour Chicago Film Project. More info here: https://www.48hourfilm.com/chicago-il.

The film is about the unusual and unexpected ways that life gets us back on track. It will be screened at the Music Box Theater on September 23rd.
