During research for sound textures close to the famous CS80 synthesizer, I started to compose this soundtrack, more or less in the style of Vangelis.

Along the way, the composition has grown progressively to become a sci-fi movie soundtrack of the same family as "Blade Runner".

My father listened this music when I was very young, I was struck by the work of the great man, especially by some masterpieces like "Albedo 0.39".

So this is my small tribute to Vangelis, this great man who gave me so much since my childhood.

This result is obtained with an unusual combination of 6 vintage synthesizers:

This blend of atmosphere is an assembly of custom SFX that I created for SaturdayMan, a crazy project of  Sentai webseries. This track is dedicated to Lord Slumber which is the great villain in this story.

The voice of Lord Slumber is played by Eric Legrand, well known in France for dubbing many actors and cartoon characters (Saint Seiya and Dragon Ball Z).

Plus que jamais les compositeurs comme moi se réfugient bien souvent dans des styles de musique plus volontiers Dark, bien méchants comme il faut, ou bien festifs, en tout cas loin du cœur, sans doute la peur d'être ridicule et/ou pathétique. Pour une fois j'ai décidé de m'en foutre. Peu importe la technique ou la génération, le fait est que nous faisons moins les malins face à la douleur de la perte.

Voici donc un morceau inspiré par la douleur composé dans un pathétique état, je n'ai pas tenté d'être "moderne", ni perfectionniste d'ailleurs et j'assume le côté oldschool et pompeux de cette musique émanant de cette cathédrale intérieure, un endroit tenu secret dédié aux deuils, aux amours déçus et à la perte d'êtres chers, et tant pis pour la façade ...

The painful nature of beauty (2017)

I was three when my dad made me listen the works of Wendy Carlos. Without fully understanding it, I discovered simultaneously the world of baroque classical music and electronic music. This discovery was decisive because from that early time I decided to devote my life to music.
I dedicate to my dad this adaptation in the manner of Wendy Carlos of the sinfonia 5 of Johann Sebastian Bach's cantata BWV 35, which is also a small tribute to these two great artists.

I diverted here the machine from its initial mission in order to produce Dark Drones.
