

The morning sun brings a new day. I think hard on the reasons for decisions I've made.  Moving along with the things that I carry. singing songs about the things that I've buried. 

I left my hometown when I was 15. Picking berries for pesos is nobodies dream. I made the crossing into some border town. just me, my brother, and a coyote he found.

hard work, hard living, and just getting bye. while your hopes turn to dreams you let sleeping dogs lie. I think of those berries and how sweet they now seem. My hometown, my family, that damn crossing.

I'm not certain how it all came to be... one day, then the next, and the days they kept coming... One day, then the next, and the days they kept running... away from me.
