New vinyl-only label Matasuna Records enters the fray with a stated focus on reworks of rare & forgotten music treasures from all over the world. The debut release, a 12" featuring four DJ-friendly edits from Voodoocuts and SoulBrigada sets the tone and has a fine titular pun to boot in Afreaka! Voodoocuts takes the A-side duties, pairing up the raw '70s Ivory Coast funk of "Kelja" with the steamy Latin styles of "Tortoise Loops". Those wanting something a bit more disco in sound will gravitate towards the "Hustleman" edit from SoulBrigada which originates from West Africa and has a killer horn line!!! "Madera" sees SoulBrigada look to Cape Verde for source material and features some subtle additions.

Blessed, with a bruising Otis Redding like voice the young Toots had been discovered singing in a barbershop in Trench Town. By 1973 Toots and The Maytals had their rabble-rousing bar-room reggae down to a fine art. Funky Kingston, recorded at the Dynamic Studios in Kingston for Warwick Lyn and on Island Records, ramps the soul side of their sound for one of the most uplifting reggae songs of all time. 
 
Toots and the Maytals became a favourite of rock critics in the 70s and listening to Funky Kingston, it is easy to understand why. The muscular rhythms, “Toots” Hibbert’s hoarse exhortations and his slightly surreal lyrics appealed to the spirit of a more fundamental age that rock music had lost.

SoulBrigada is back with a new joint, serving two edits of classic funk & soul tunes on a tasty funky 45. Two essential killer cuts not to be missed!

The soul hit "Do Your Thang" on the A-side was released by a vocal duo from Florida in the mid seventies. The edit extends the original to the right length and new rhythm and percussion parts give the song the missing power.

"Grab Your Thang" on the flipside, is a 1965 killer funk tune from Memphis, which will make every dance floor burn with mad breakbeat, new arrangement and additional samples.

 Dimitris Tentinis aka mister T. was born in 1983 in Kavala (Northern Greece) and has been living in Athens  since 2010. He started writing his music ideas in 2001. Past classical music  studies  influenced him for his new direction.

 Mister T’s style is mostly groovy with lot of funk, soul, jazz, hip hop and deep influences. He also likes writing in a down tempo / trip hop style. He has been a member of Cold Busted (USA) label since June 2011. He is also released tracks on Chin Chin Records (Germany) and Timewarp Records (Greece). His music is widely supported by listeners, djs, music and radio producers around the Globe and many of his tunes are already remixed by well known artists like Club Des Belugas, Kaleidoscope Jukebox, Timewarp Inc, Omegaman, Jayl Funk, Umbo, Funky Destination,  My Neighbour Is, Mojo Rising, Sixfingerz, Green Street, Es-K, Mr Chombee . 

 Parallel to his production activities, he began playing music as a DJ in 2003. Mister T’s sets are a blend of jazz, soul, electroswing, funk, breakbeat, hip hop and electronic music.
