After a long process, we managed to get in touch with an Australian four-piece that went by the name of Boxcar from 86-92, producing a lot of music ahead of its time. They've recently started re-issuing their songs with modern producers on remix duty and after asking Romain FX to work on a remix, it was only natural that Fauve Records would work on a limited-edition vinyl-only release with a stellar cast. For this edition, we have asked some of the coolest cats in the game to hand us a remix with their specific touch and an array of bangers came about. Donald's House with a rave house-inspired remix, Fabrizio Mammarella with a more EBM/Italo touch, Jonny Rock with a dubby finger-licking-good take, and of course Romain FX with an intergalactic voyage.

After a first successful release (Raw Tools Vol.1),  representing the team's classic house roots, Outdom Records is back with a new Various Artists (Virtual Tools Vol.1) meant to showcase the sound identity and signature of the label.

Virtual Tools Vol. 1 is the first episode of Outdom’s new project, a series of Various Artists digital only releases, in which confirmed and promising artists are exposed.

In this episode, the six-track compilation is strongly influenced by the early 2000s era of raw and blitzing Electro & Progressive House that was back then swinging the Berlin and London underground scenes. Always through a distinctive hybrid approach, Outdom is giving birth to six unique tracks shaped for the dancefloor, associating vintage drums and samples with more modern synths, basslines and arrangement, giving to the release a particularly mesmerizing feeling. A feeling meant to state loud and clear Outdom’s will : to provide DJs with powerful crowd electrification tools.

Titino - Melt Me

The VA starts with the American growing artist, Titino and his track : “Melt Me”, a perfect representation of the 2000’s spooky Electro-House sound, revealing frightening ethereal pads, a nasty gritty bassline and obscure fx & glitches samples scattering the whole track. A perfect way to start this compilation.

JUAAN - Loren Loren

In a quite similar mood, Juaan, the Argentinian rising producer, is back with the second track of the VA, “Loren Loren”, a subtle breakbeat/4x4 combination with a thrilling groove and atmosphere. The fearsome vocal samples and the insidious hypnotic lead can testify, this one is definitely for the heads!

Latent - Robot’s Chinwag

Then, Latent’s new production “Robot’s Chinwag” appears to turn up the mood, alternating between sizzling breaks and a punchy 4X4 kick pattern, associated with a dangerous electro acid bassline and progressive house trippy synths. A really harmful track and a testimonial to robotics, for all dance floors looking for intense stimulation.

BEQA - Dance Elements

Followed by “BEQA - Dance Elements”, as usual, the Georgian wizard does his magic here by switching up the whole VA’s mood. Swiftly assembling a luminous and irresistible groove with bright hasty stabs and pads, he brings a breath of fresh air to the compilation.

Retrolog - Outer Space

Next, Retrolog (founder of Outdom Records with Latent) launches a super explosive and menacing track. The key elements of his signature are represented : a threatening electro bassline bouncing around swinging raw drums, always associated with progressive house typical trancy synths & mysterious vocals.

Venetia - USB 3.0

At last, the rising French producer, Venetia, delivers a textbook signature track, blending a thick growling bassline with a chunky drum groove and catchy cosmic melodies : the perfect recipe to ignite easily all the dancefloors, when placed in the right hands! The best way to end this compilation in a powerful manner.

Hitch debuts on Just Waxx for its second release, presenting four dancefloor-focused tracks, with a remix by Belgian artist Innershades on A2.

The EP draws inspiration from samples that marked the Catalan producer's childhood, adding a unique and nostalgic touch to each composition.

A1, "Gran Torino," featuring samples from Starsky & Hutch, stands out as the highlight of the release, capturing immediate attention with its unmistakable character.
