Edgerunner

First track I've worked on in a while not for any project. One of the main aspects I  worked on to improve the most was definitely my mixing and mastering ability among other things that I wanted to keep pushing at to get better. I've been very busy with finals and the end of the semester so it took me a while to piece it together but I'm happy with the result. The name is a combination of two of the VSTs I used in the track since I'm unoriginal.

Black Waves

Another track I had started a long time ago, sort of finished, and left it. Going back through and just checking on stuff I was working on I realized I had this and figured I'd finish it up and call it complete. Want to work on some new stuff going forward so it'll be a bit before the next one probably.

Vertigo

Industrial/dark electronic style track that I started and finished in about a week between classes. Wanted to get it finished instead of sitting on it for weeks and months like others so I really pushed to get it out (despite being one the largest I've done in how many separate tracks exist). Fairly happy with the result and want to just call it instead of forever tweaking and changing things. 

Art was done by an AI art generator. Thought it looked cool.

Express Hotline

Track I started months ago just playing around and decided to finish it. Wanted to try and have an old school 70s/80s type of style and I think I mostly got that. Also wanted to experiment with some different sounds and things.

Driven

Wanted to get this out in time for the Halloween season but I was busy working on midterms these past two weeks so it was a crunch to get it to a spot I was happy with it. It's heavily inspired slash is based on Muse's "You Make Me Feel Like It's Halloween," and all credit goes to them for making a surprisingly catchy song.

Halloween

A simple track I had started months ago but decided to finish. A little different from my usual style. Despite wanting to do more, I've been busy with things and a lot of projects I've started never really got off the ground as more than ideas. That being said, I wanted at least something to show for it as I work on new things. Made with some loops. Art made by AI.

Color

First track made with a new DAW I'm trying out. I wanted to really upgrade and start using something a bit more advanced than I had been. It was quite a learning process putting it together, particularly in the mixing and sound design catagory, and it was pretty refreshing. Played it fairly traditional with some inspiration from early 2000s and late 90s dance tracks. Track art made by AI generator.

Dust

Came up with this within a few hours. Wanted to do something pretty different sounding and I think I succeeded. Track image made by AI generator.

Happiness and Loneliness

Second version of a track I had partially completed and pretty lazily said I was finished. I went back to re-mix and finish the idea. I don't know what tags to really put on it but it was made a retro/synthwavey mindset so I just put that. Track art generated by AI.

Break

Lot of different styles that are fused here, such as tropical house, funk, disco, little synthwave, etc. I've been away a while, although I've been creating music just for myself in that time. I wanted to get something together but I would always get stuck with whatever I was doing or just get busy and have to step away for some time. Finally I managed to stick it out and put this together, which is rather simple but I think was cool and is a departure from my typical thing. Uses a good amount of samples but I think it comes together well enough.
