As a member of the infamous CUFF team Shiba San has become synonymous with that rugged, ghetto sound that represents CUFF and its owners Amine Edge & DANCE. Shiba comes from Paris (of course) where hip-hop was a strong influence to begin with, and that sound permeates through into the music he makes now with vocals and rough beats galore. His track "Okay" on dirtybird is killing it right now, and has been touted by many as one of the anthems of the summer. No doubt you'll hear it more than once at We Are FSTVL. It's going to be one hell of a party and this mix should get you in the mood.

Ovums 20th birthday celebrations continues with the return of Itamar Sagi, an artist who first featured on Ovum back in 2009 with the amazing Fiona/Agnes Blue. After a five year hiatus from the label, he triumphantly returns with the Invisible Key EP. Raised in the hot spot of Tel Aviv, with his artist roots deep in the techno underground, Itamar is from the new breed of the current techno wave. Already well respected, Sagis reputation continues to grow with his unique floor filling productions consistently catching the attention of legends including Laurent Garnier, Josh Wink, Carl Craig, Francois K and others. The Invisible Key EP kicks off with the title track which is classic Sagi. The track slowly draws you in with its twists and turns, bubbling and building and creating a tension on the floor. New Order harks back to the sound of Basic Channel, G-Man, and John Ciaffone. Sagi again builds the tension with vocal samples and effects that deliver a massive punch without ever being over done. For the final cut Dub Superstitions, Sagi delivers a proper techno workout. The track percolates and builds and again Sagis ramps the vibes to deliver a massive finish to this stellar release.

Recorded at Berlin's Horst nightclub on November 2, 2012, opening for Midland and Kyle Hall. There's a bit of digital clipping at a few points towards the end, but I liked the track and the ones following it enough that I decided to leave it in. (The set went on for another 30 minutes, but the clipping was pervasive by that point, so I faded out this edit of the set at a natural breaking point. Alas.)

‘Who’s Stalking Who?’ 

Currently wowing Pacha, Ibiza with his new weekly residency, ‘Wisdom Of The Glove’ Guy Gerber has managed to coax only the most interesting artists such as Mathew Jonson, Four Tet and John Talabot deep into his surreal, otherworldly rabbit hole.

Not content with planning for the freshest Ibiza residency out there and embarking on an international tour taking in dates throughout Japan, South America and Europe, the Supplement Facts boss travelled through nine countries whilst creating an entirely original album purely on his Sennheisers.

‘Who’s Stalking Who?’ clocks in at just over an hour, demonstrating Guy Gerber’s flair for silky productions, deep soulful beats and bubbling basslines. More in common with an expert sculptor, Guy has long been renowned for his effortless production and detailed craftsmanship; none more on display than here, the achievement made even the more impressive by making original music whilst on the move.  

Hitting the UK for Krankbrother’s infamous Street Party on 22nd June with his own guest John Talabot, ‘Who’s Stalking Who?’ gives you just a taste of that biza magic that’ll be on show in London soon.

Till von Sein and Tigerskin are back with another EP full of funky dope twisted House Jamz. A perfect combination again of Tigerskin's tight production skills and Till's extraordinaire sample madness and funky arrangements. All four EP tracks reflect their love for soul joints and hip hop beats and breaks. Apart from the precise sampling going on here most parts were played and recorded live in Tigerskin's studio as are the rhodes keys and guitar parts topped off with analogue 909 and 808 beats only.
