Underground since 1998 Dirtee Mic, also known as Poe Jones, Mic Blanx, Michaelfrigginmyers, and Microphonesmith has been releasing music privately under Mud Valley Music and the Blackbridge music label to friends and family as a hobby and something fun that filled in as his therapy for what he had seen growing up with very little money and around people who had very little and lived along the banks of the constantly flooding Passaic River. Raised in a single parent home his mother worked nonstop to make ends meet while his father, although not living at home, did what he could to contribute. Hip hop and breakdancing were his first love followed by flatland freestyle bmx. He has always been met with praise for his talented instrumentals and proved himself to be an excellent writer as well as an mc but as most people struggling with trauma growing up and addiction running in his family he found it very difficult to ever finish a project. In 2001 Mite as Well Blank was finished and released to a very limited audience and was finally heard all over the world and well received on the Myspace platform. Addiction really took a toll on him and his work ethic combined prescription pain killers and anti-anxiety medicine ultimately sending him to the hospital with seizures in late 2023. Later followed by several stretches in various detox and rehab programs he finally has decided to show the world his capabilities and bury his head in a notebook and make as much music as possible and see what the future has in store for him as a dedicated artist.
