Mister Richter is nothing extraordinary when viewed as another 5 piece, west coast rock band. Drop the cliche, and you see 5 kids who grew up in the suburbs of Salt Lake City, claustrophobic in a bubble of religious conservation ,and you have a story of survival in a town modeled after some sort of 19th century utopia
 
​Somehow, after a generation of upbringing in this cancerous depression of the country-- a sound was re explored; entirely uninfluenced by its surroundings; then recreated. Maybe we grew up on too much Beavis and Butthead, vinyl and Judas Priest; or perhaps it was a last ditch effort from the horned one when two brothers were born in the heart of Los Angeles two decades ago.- to save a genre that has lost its army and needs soldiers more than ever.
