A live recording of Eamon Harkin and Justin Carter from the final two hours at Mister Sunday's summer closer on September 8, 2013, the last Mister Sunday ever at Gowanus Grove. The recording comes direct from the mixer and from a mic perched in the poplar trees of Gowanus Grove (which, sadly, are no more) and captures an emotional and energetic final hurrah to a very special space. Long live Mister Sunday.

Dark Sky - IYP

Melja is Nathan Ifergan, a producer from Maisons-Alfort in France. Too young to attend our nighttime parties on his last visit (sorry, dude), he came in contact with the world of Mister Saturday Night at Co-Op 87, a great little record store in Greenpoint. Inspired by what he heard on wax, he made three jams that fit perfectly into the party. Eamon and Justin have been caning them for months. They work every time.

Friday October 14th 2022 was a much anticipated night at Nowadays. It was the first appearance of drum 'n' bass god Goldie at the Ridgewood club. And whilst that artist’s appearance did not disappoint it was the warm up/warm down sets from our pals Analog Soul that left a lasting impression for many of the folks lucky enough to have a place on the dance.

We released a mixtape of two stand out excerpts from that special night on Mister Saturday Night Records. The first batch sold out in 20 hours and we've just released a second batch (don't sleep!!).

In 2011 Nebraska released an album called Displacement. Every one of the tracks have been aired on the Mister sound system, and at least three of them have become anthems for the party. (If you don't own that album, get it.)

About a year ago, we started to wonder, "Where is this Nebraska guy?" He hadn't released any new music since the LP. We searched high and low an found his contact. When we got in touch, he responded by paying us a visit, bringing us a couple pieces of vinyl (one of which made its way onto Eamon and Justin's Weekends and beginnings Mix) and, thankfully, sending us a steady stream of unreleased music.

A couple of those songs have become regular dance floor contenders, and we're very happy to say now that we've cut them to wax, and we're officially welcoming Nebraska into the Mister Saturday Night family.

Jun Kamoda is a producer, DJ and MC from Tokyo. New to the label but a friend of the party, Jun came to Mister Sunday in NYC last year and ended up hanging around for a few days afterward, digging for records and sharing bowls of spaghetti with the boys.

When he returned to Japan, he got to working on the music we now present to you on The Clay EP. This is Jun blending loopy, psychedelic disco stylings with chugging drum work for three party-ready cuts. They've been chopping up our dance floors months; we're excited to hear them do the same to yours.

Atlus is a young man with the world in his hands. He shoulders it from the mighty and misty tenements of Glasgow, Scotland, where he spends most of his time in the halls of Rubadub. In the three songs on this mystical EP, he lifts up party-melting disco house, clanging ambience and bubbling techno – and it all makes sense. The first of many, many records from him, we hope. This kid's a titan.

Archie Pelago is a trio from Brooklyn. Greg plays cello; Zach plays saxophone; Dan plays trumpet; and they all work the knobs. The Archie guys did one of the very first releases on Mister Saturday Night Records; and we're very happy to have them back – especially with such brilliant tunes. The A Side, Clammy Customer, takes dozens of twists and turns, weaving in vocals by the always excellent Gabriel Garzon-Montano; and the B Side, Madame Suede Nightshade, was apparently made with us in mind (check the initials). Both sides are tried and tested on our dancefloor and cut at 45rpm for maximum oomph.

After rearranging our brains, and dance floors, with his Displacement LP on Rush Hour back in 2011, no stone went unturned in our efforts to find out just who was behind the Nebraska project. That search culminated last year with us pressing up his Stand Your Ground 12", and now, the London-based producer is back on Mister Saturday Night Records with the new three-track, sample-heavy EP, Look What You've Done To Me.

The title track is a lush, deep house roller based around some balmy Rhodes chords and an infectiously bumping baseline, while the tunes on either side of that borrow as much from the skippy, spirited disco of last year's "Emotional Rescue" as they do from the more graceful end of the dub techno spectrum. There's something for pretty much every hour of the party here.

On June 25th, 2017, we'll be celebrating our 250th party. To commemorate the occasion, we're releasing a mix and compilation by Mister founders and resident DJs Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin. It's called Mister Saturday Night, Then and Now.  

This is the lead track, a languid, joy-filled Ethiopian jazz song by the great Ethiopian vocalist, Menelik Wossenatchew. It was arranged and written by Mulatu Astatke. 

Mister Saturday Night, Then and Now is distributed by !K7 Records and available as a 3LP compilation and as a CD and on digital on Friday, June 30th.

On June 25th, 2017, we celebrated our 250th party ever with a fete called Mister 250. This is the last two hours and change from the booth, wall to wall with Mister classics and served with a cherry on top – a surprise performance from the Joubert Singers.

Taphari was born in Brownsville, Brooklyn, raised by his Bajan grandma, millennial mother and Rastafarian father. He's not much more than a kid, but he's wise beyond his years. Bold and malcontent, Taphari's a flower growing out of the concrete. Focus is his debut single.
