This is our premiere of 𝗚𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗲, 𝗧𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿, 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗼 and 𝗠𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝘆’s track 𝗣𝗼𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 from Montreal-based electronic music collective 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗩’s upcoming release 𝗖𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘃𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝗩𝗼𝗹 𝟮. 

In 2021, OCTOV launched a new project called, a game based on collective creation. The goal was to keep their community united and active during the pandemic. Originating from French literature, the concept consists in creating a work of art from scratch, without having any contact with previous and future collaborators. Each party participates on its own scale, having to show creativity, inventiveness and a touch of audacity.

The collective transposed this game to techno. The work is no longer a sentence, but a track composed in three parts: rhythm, melody and FX. VJs then composed coherent works for each track: the fourth and last part of the game. OCTOV is proud to report that Vol. II will be launching on Friday, May 20, as a 4-track EP with 16 artists involved.
