We wrote this song before we had a name, Sam sent me the instrumental and I wanted to improvise some words over the top.  I was staying at my parents’ house in the mountains. At that time I was reading a book called “The Chalice and The Blade” which spoke about a Goddess, and a peaceful people who worshipped the Goddess. I thought it sounded like a good idea. So I started singing about the Goddess, and I was in the kitchen, so I was also singing about what I could see in there at that moment. Sam put all my ramblings in order and we massaged the lyrics until it sounded like a song. When we save songs in Ableton we often add the date at the end of a working title. This song was called GODDESS, and the date was 9/11/2018, so the file name became GODDESS_911.als … Suddenly what we were doing fell into place. We had a name

Misun (pronounced 'me•sun') is undeniably energetic and catchy. By way of Washington DC, their debut EP "The Sea" was released in the summer of 2012 on T&A Records. Misun have since cultivated their fan base organically -- through a series of self-released digital singles in 2013. In 2014, Misun released their debut album "Superstitions", followed by their second EP "Feel Better" in the spring of 2015.

Now, Misun follows up the debut album "Superstitions" with a fresh new Nacey produced anthem "Give It Up," a sunny-side-up tune about heartache that slips and slides atop sparse instrumentals.
