This is a poem I began writing in 2008. It has since been amended and refined, eventually also becoming a song. Here you hear me reciting it live, on Halloween 2022, as the rain comes down around me in Portland, Oregon, USA. Waxing about one of the dryer places on Earth, frpm one of the wettest.

You can say that the Earth is flat.
It's just somehow like floating there or sitting there. 
It's infinitely deep, it has a dome over it,
Antarctic ice wall, whatever the hell you want.
You can question anything at all, pretty much,
but, there's this one thing you can't question,
oh, it's this fucking book.
This book is somehow, it's like immune to all the 
criticisms that they cast on everything else.

Some of our art is made on computers, some of it is made by hand. We are particularly interested in that gray area in between where you cant really tell. All of what we create here is one work laid out in segments, all connected. The Mystic Tape Deck universe is vast and explores all manner of adding meaning to our lives, while pondering meaninglessness.

Recipient of the Kennedy Center's ACTF award for 'Excellence in Sound Design' (in theater). Multiple sound & music theatrical scholarships & fellowships. Award-winning, published short fiction author. 
As Octobuse: Semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Octobuse also featured in The Guardian's music section.
