This record is, in many ways, a distillation of ideas JakoJako has been exploring for years. Tapping into a deep understanding of machine-based music and illuminated by references to her heritage, Tết 41 reflects on notions of rebirth, and the pursuit of a sonic core. I started composing in summer 2024 when I bought a synthesizer. I'm autistic and lack the coordination to play most instruments so I often use pieces of AI generated patterns as a tool to compose, which I edit and arrange together with my own simple playing.
