Mitchell's newest release, Belladonna, is a triptych to heartbreak and heartache. Each piece representing a singular experience of love (and its corresponding loss); a relationship you know has a ticking timer on it, deceit from a lover who convinced you they felt the same, obsession with another who cannot return it in kind. 

Belladonna speaks to those feeling the isolation of 'the apps', a world where therapy-speak is weaponized as an excuse for narcissistic behavior, and the agonizing disconnectedness of 20-something life. But beneath the melancholic analog warmth, 12-string guitars, flute and violin sections, and rich vocal harmonies, there is hope and a longing for something real, and an ancestral knowledge that maybe the love is all worth it in the end.
