Side A dispatches two rockets for take-off. The pacey and spacey grooves of ‘Playing Our Game’ deliver a wild ride. Youandewan expertly steers the remix through peak-time turbulence with signature, masterful production. 

On the flip, ‘Dubby Proggy Spacey Thing’ effortlessly glides the cosmos, absorbing views only visible when cruising the deeper realms of space.

Fresh UK sounds define Space Tours inaugural release. Both Mitch Wellings and Harry Wills represent a new wave of exciting artists, prepared to take influence from multiple genres to create unique, futuristic, ultra-effective dance floor weaponry. 

UK Garage drum programming, electro zaps and minimal vocal stabs can be found hovering over a thick multi-layered acid bass squelch on A1, ‘UK Hun’. Harry Wills takes the remix into a deeper, 4/4 driven affair, seasoned delightfully with melodic acid licks and some tidy breakbeat action.

The B side opens with the heavy hitting ‘Cold Beats’, distinctly primed to create electric scenes from its rubbery bass lines and wild sound palette. 

Last but by no means least, ‘Space Baguette’ soundscapes an epic journey through the stars. Combining classy, deep chords, scintillating synth line goodness and occasional bursts of rude bassline gratification. This one’s sure to gain galaxy wide attention from those in the know.

Mitch Wellings brings three more out-there originals, before hugely talented Parisian producer, Nemo Vachez, takes the controls for remix duties. All who wish to board will be treated to another scintillating array of future-focussed delights, with nods to all things great about the past.

First up, ‘Break It Down’ expertly morphs from wild, summer infused house to wobbly garage, seeing blissed out chords become contorting basslines. Locked.

‘90 Steps’ offers up an amalgamation of classic UK and deep Detroit flavours. Premium fusion.

‘All the Stars’ takes the listener on an introspective meditation. The stripped back, 2 step approach allows its emotive soundtrack space to breathe, while cementing its spoken word vocal’s empowering narrative.

Forest Ill label boss Nemo Vachez delivers an enchanting remix of ‘All The Stars’, taking it into euphoric dancefloor territories with ‘Nemo’s 4/4 Sunset Dub’. The right heads will be turned, that’s for sure.

"Mitch Wellings turned heads when launching his label, Space Tours, back in 2019. It’s debut release sold-out worldwide in less than 24 hours, prompting an instant repress. The Space Tours collection now boasts 4 sought after solo EP’s from Mitch, with remixes from Harry Wills, Nemo Vachez, Youandewan and Jhobei. 2023 saw Mitch deliver his first album, Space Tours: The Legacy of Phoenix, which enchants the listener amidst a conceptual journey over its 16 tracks, incorporating 7 voice actors from around the world to tell the tale. 

Each of the 5 releases have found a home on the best dance-floors worldwide. Since its inception, Space Tours records have been heavily recognised by the who's who of the underground digging scene, with support from Voigtmann, Hamish & Toby and Truly Madly to name a few, as well as industry heavyweights such as Sasha, Enzo Siragusa and Gerd Janson. Aside from his Space Tours output, Mitch has contributed to VA's for Nuances De Nuit, Locked-In and Planet Orange, totalling 8 vinyl releases. 

As a DJ, he's known for his eclectic record collection. Happiest when flowing between the deeper shades of house/garage/electro/breaks/trance and more, steering crowds wherever he sees fit. As a time-honoured record digging obsessive, you know you’re going to be spoiled by exciting selections and rare underground gems. Notable mixes have included Pager Records, Rube Goldberg Series, Nuances De Nuit and most recently his self released Space Tourism podcast, putting a stamp on his unique sound.
