Dani “Bad Boy” Dacey more commonly known as @playdbbd is a famous German-born techno detective who was tasked with thwarting illegal synthesizer sales in nightclubs. Having served a long tour in California, he returned home to Germany and started his career as a detective assigned to the Berlin Analogue Division (BAD) where he was often partnered with the very sassy Miss Bashful. The breaking point would come when he was assigned with protecting General DJ Skain, the electronic dictator of Buffistan, who would testify against major electronic producers in his home country. However, it all turned out to be a ruse by the German government whom, it turned out, were using the trade in illegal synth sales to raise money to replace Berlin techno with Bavarian Ballerman, a hideous sub-genre of schlager pop which dominates nightclubs on the Balearic Coast of Mallorca. Disgusted by these turn of events, DBBD resigned his position as techno detective and has since been making really dope, fast tempo beats from synthesizers he stole from the evidence room. DBBD currently lives on a sailing yacht moored in Berlin‘s luxurious Rio Spreemarina on which lives his pet alligator Regina Navarro Calabrese. His vehicles include a Ferrari Rossabopz and an offshore power-boat dubbed the “Pink Noise”.
