The next installment of the MITSUcast is the first b2b-episode in our podcast series. Thus, we're happy to present you this set by Toni Ba and DJ BTM. Being part of the Distinkt Agency, Berlin-based Toni Ba has quickly gained foothold in the local techno scene, gaining recognition in the region & abroad. Furthermore, she is a co-founder of the DIIMORPH event collective & party series. She is joined by Hamburg-based DJ BTM (Blacktechnomatters), who has recently joined the northern German cities' techno collective Roggers Rave Cave. Enjoy one hour of fast & groovy techno and don't forget to stay healthy!

Representing the new french techno generation is Lorenzo Lacchesi with a sound that fuses pure industrial strength with breakneck speed and otherworldly noises. It is a style easy to recognize and hard to resist, inviting you to move your body in unison. The Maison Close Records label owner shines through a varied and always changing selection of eclectic and razor sharp techno, that has gained him shows all over his native home country of France. This mix, like Lacchesis club performances, is relentlessly pounding, constantly evolving, and barely leaves you a chance to catch your breath!

Laure Croft is a force to be reckoned with. After brief stints in the house and hardcore scene, the 26-year old Dutchie finally settled into what she feels to be her true musical home; the underground (queer) techno scene. 

Feeling safe in this new and exciting environment, Laure started to spin records, supported and surrounded by great people, and instantly realized that this is what she wanted to do. 

Her musical philosophy is both pragmatic and beautifully simple; it has to keep you going! With as little breaks as possible, Laure takes her dancers on a wild ride of stripped down, fast-paced 4x4 sexy bounciness, most records stemming from the time period of 1995-2005. 

Having been told many times by male colleagues that women simply don’t have what it takes, Laure advocates for more inclusive lineups in all regards, so that great talent can also be seen and especially heard. 

For Laure empathy is key, but also remember to always keep it sexy.

riko is a Hanover based music artist with a weakness for old-school techno and falafel. To define his own style of music, he launched his label named CEP Records in 2019. He started publishing self releases in a digital and analog way. His style of production compliments his sets with a flair of variation and many vocal based, high paced tracks that leave you craving to hear them on a large sound system.

Specific Objects is a Berlin-based DJ, producer and owner of Twice Infinity Records. Before moving to the world’s techno capital, he earned his stripes in his hometown of Vienna as a resident DJ of the infamous Meat Market event series and crew member of Wiener Gerüstbau.

The photographer-turned-musician is a man on a mission: pursuing his goal of bringing back the groove into hard and fast techno has led to several releases on labels like Akronym, Mitsubasa, Introspective or DREPT. When on stage, he effortlessly combines contemporary funky cuts with his favorite tunes from the early 2000s in a blend that‘s both modern and old school, always keeping drive and energy on the floor without residing to cheap tricks.

MITSUcast 001 - Anton Johnsen

The next mix in our MITSUcast series was recorded by Narciss. He is a Berlin based DJ producer and member of the Leipzig based SEELEN label/crew. He established himself a name in the scene by releasing on labels such as 1Ø Pills Mate and Space Trax. His EP "Language Of Love" will come out on Lobster Theremin later this month. This set reflects Narciss' musical style as it is a mix of energetic techno tracks and melodic trance productions. Enjoy!

For the third round of our podcast series we invited Pastwa! Pastwa is co-founder and resident of Krakow based collective and party series Nasenbluten. Since her DJ debut not more than a year ago she is known for regularly setting the dancefloor on fire, not just in Krakow but also in cities like Copenhagen or Berlin. Her playstyle ranges from fast-paced hard trance to heavy industrial sounds.
For now, get ready for a one hour journey full of athmospheric darkness and heavy kicks!

She is active in the techno scene since 2015 and has since then played in various locations all around Sweden and also internationally. Her dark and energetic playstyle has gained her a residency at the Gothenburg based Rottweiler bar. Enjoy!

Next up we have talented DJ and producer Billie Jo from Stockholm, Sweden. Billie is a founding member of the Stockholm based underground collective .WAV and resident DJ at underground venue Rottweiler in Gothenburg. Her sets can be described as rythmic, playful, stomping techno journeys that are guaranteed to get the crowd moving. Billie's debut vinyl 'The Ravenous EP’ was released on Spencer Parker's label Work Them Records in the spring of 2019. The follow up, ’Ne Plus Ultra EP’, was released one year later on Vincent Neumann's label Unitas Multiplex (including a remix by Copenhagen based producer Sugar). Billie’s third release is scheduled for January 2021, on DJ Lily's label LILIES.
