MITSUcast 014 - XIME 

The 14th installment of our MITSUcast was recorded by label co-founder XIME. While he was mostly active in the background of MITSU2000 so far, the recent revival of trance in the European dance music scene has inspired him to return behind the decks. In his set he fully embraces the classic sound of 2000s trance by including some of his favourite tracks from that time period. Enjoy & stay healthy!

Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present: olesia  

olesia is a Russian-born, London-based queer DJ who goes in HARD. Think slamming techno that jumps from clean kickdrums to gnarlier beats of the early 90s, with the occasional jaw-grinding vocal thrown in at just the right time. Having played across the UK capital for Lobsterfest, Unfold, Riposte, Find Me In The Dark, Boudica and Inferno, she's navigated fluctuating crowds and various club settings, allowing her to expand her skill and ultimately hold the dancefloor in the palm of her hand. 

Co-founder of Technomate, she uses the platform as an event, educational, and podcast platform to champion and showcase international FLINTA (female, lesbian, inter, non-binary, trans and asexual / agender) artists. While Technomate garners an online presence via a residency on Threads radio and standalone podcast series, olesia curates each aspect of TM8 to nurture London's techno scene for the better. Whether she's organizing discussions with established artists as part of the TM8 .edu series or booking the next round of inspiring and emerging artists for TM8 parties, olesia is a true talent contributing significant value to club culture in 2022.

Paaradoxx (she/her) is an artist from Wuppertal.
She is a resident at Mauke and part of the Prude collective.
Together with DJ Frank and Maruhni, they organise parties in various clubs and give newcomer FLINTA* Djs a platform. They also give workshops to give access to equipment and networking in the scene.
Carlotta has played in many clubs in NRW within a year and has thus already established herself as a DJ.
Her energetic sound varies between groovy techno, electro and trance.
Her first priority is to have fun. Both her own DJing and that of her listeners.

"I notice every time how I can transfer my energy completely. It's nice to see that when I have fun, the people on the dance floor join in. For the Nuance set I just let myself be driven by my own good mood and played accordingly".

3 months after the dust settled on that mammoth event, I'm now able to share the live recording of my set from Unfold L with you.

Sharing the dance floor with so many beautiful souls was an experience I will never forget, and I'm forever grateful to my friends at @foldldn for trusting me to take on the sunrise slot, and to hand the mantle over to the creators of Unfold. This slot was both an honour and a pleasure (and slightly terrifying), and a task I did not take lightly!

This set felt like a signature moment in crafting my taste, taking the opportunity to explore more raw and textural sounds whilst still delivering a hard, driving and bouncing energy to lock you into the dance, with moments of elation and relief throughout.

Love to the whole FOLD team for hosting the event and welcoming us into your home, and big shouts to all the artists throughout the day who absolutely slayed their sets. It was a pleasure to share the line up with such incredible talent from start to finish!

DJ REIZ - fresh and hot, coming from the Paris underground scene, he has been spoiling our ears and hearts with beautiful Techno Trance bangers, reinventing old school 90s sounds and combining them with new groovy and thundering elements. 

Owner of the new collective Union Trance Mission that has just come out with a blasting 6 track VA, he has continuously been impressing wit his vision and creativity - having created a very unique label focusing  purely on our beloved sub-genre: Techno Trance.
His sets are full of emotions and melancholy with this sexy groove and drive that will glue you to the dance floor;)

MITSUcast 001 - Anton Johnsen

The next mix in our MITSUcast series was recorded by Narciss. He is a Berlin based DJ producer and member of the Leipzig based SEELEN label/crew. He established himself a name in the scene by releasing on labels such as 1Ø Pills Mate and Space Trax. His EP "Language Of Love" will come out on Lobster Theremin later this month. This set reflects Narciss' musical style as it is a mix of energetic techno tracks and melodic trance productions. Enjoy!

For the third round of our podcast series we invited Pastwa! Pastwa is co-founder and resident of Krakow based collective and party series Nasenbluten. Since her DJ debut not more than a year ago she is known for regularly setting the dancefloor on fire, not just in Krakow but also in cities like Copenhagen or Berlin. Her playstyle ranges from fast-paced hard trance to heavy industrial sounds.
For now, get ready for a one hour journey full of athmospheric darkness and heavy kicks!

For the newest issue of Mitsucast our guest is Martina Menfors. Martina is a DJ from Gothenburg, Sweden. She is active in the techno scene since 2015 and has since then played in various locations all around Sweden and also internationally. Her dark and energetic playstyle has gained her a residency at the Gothenburg based Rottweiler bar. Enjoy!

Next up we have talented DJ and producer Billie Jo from Stockholm, Sweden. Billie is a founding member of the Stockholm based underground collective .WAV and resident DJ at underground venue Rottweiler in Gothenburg. Her sets can be described as rythmic, playful, stomping techno journeys that are guaranteed to get the crowd moving. Billie's debut vinyl 'The Ravenous EP’ was released on Spencer Parker's label Work Them Records in the spring of 2019. The follow up, ’Ne Plus Ultra EP’, was released one year later on Vincent Neumann's label Unitas Multiplex (including a remix by Copenhagen based producer Sugar). Billie’s third release is scheduled for January 2021, on DJ Lily's label LILIES.
