Fantono is a Berlin-based DJ with a passion for all things groovy. Deeply immersed in the neo-minimal scene, Fantono draws inspiration from the rich history of techno, house, and tech-house, with roots reaching back to the ‘90s. For him, neo-minimal is more than just a genre—it’s a blend of rhythmic grooves, particularly influenced by the evolution of rominimal and the unique Berlin take on minimal and house music. This distinct sound has its origins in the cultural shift that followed the fall of the Berlin Wall and the legendary days of Bar25.

Though the term minimal might be seen as a misnomer by some, Fantono embraces it as a way to capture a specific feeling, a historical movement, and a community that he’s proud to be a part of. His sets reflect this ethos, blending timeless rhythms with the contemporary flair of Berlin's underground.

The time has come, we hit exactly 20 years since the launch of Dirt Crew Recordings back in 2004. An incredible journey lays behind us with so many discovered artists and even more amazing tunes we first heard as demo and brought to life either on Wax, CD or Digital. As we never look back too much we decided to not give you another “Best of” but instead drop 15 brand new tunes by early and more recent artists that have released with us in these past years.

The result is a really broad spectrum of what makes up the style of the label, from Deep House to Disco and Electronica to Electro, these fifteen cuts represent the richness of dance music in our little universe. Dig into this playlist and discover the Dirt Crew sound.
