Alex was born in the oldest Russian town of Smolensk in the family of medical officer. With his parents getting assignments all around Russia and abroad, Alex travelled a lot, including several years in East Germany. In the year 1989 he moved over to reside in Moscow.

In 1993 he found himself interested in avant-garde fashion. In the year 1996 the "PTUCH" magazine awarded Alex as the best avant-garde designer. Alex coped with his fame in a rather strange way - quite soon he became bored with fashion design and left this business.

Long before taking his final decision to become a DJ, Alex was making his own mixes for his fashion shows. His professional dj career was started in 1996 in "Aquatoria" club. In a while he became the resident-DJ of the legendary "Substation" underground radio station, being remembered from that time for industrially-dark atmosphere of his night radio-shows - Psychic TV & Throbbing Gristle, dark ambient & trip-hop, Saturday morning techno & electro shows. After the "Substation" was closed, Alex worked as a DJ at the "Station 2000" and "Dynamite" radio stations. In 2002-2008 he was a resident of world famous internet radio Deepmix. Now he works as curator of rts.fm - international audio-visual internet radio project.Today the name of DJ Alex Meshkov is associated with an epoch of the Russian techno scene as well as with a significant list of night-clubs in Russia and Europe. In 2009-2013 he was a curator of international internet radio project RTS.FM.

From the year 1999 Alex creates music under the name of "Nooncat", his personal musical project. Nooncat's smart and neatly true tracks have been released on the European labels: Salo, Konvex-Konkav, Trapez, Treibstoff, MIS, Trenton, Dilek, Sova; and on the russian labels: Lichen, Between Us, Phlegmatek, Pro-Tez.

The Mystic Creatures Festival was the perfect way to end the summer. The location, the music, the people and the attention to detail made this first Mystic Festival one to remember.
I am soo grateful for the loyal, enthusiastic, energetic and supportive crowd at my set! Thank you so much! There were so many familiar faces at the festival, both old and new friends. What a family feeling :)
All in all, this was definitely the way to end the beloved festival season.

Nicolas Ruiz,  dj/productor que inició su carrera en Misiones, Argentina, donde fue creciendo musicalmente y forjando una gran trayectoria. Ha realizado lanzamientos para prestigiosos sellos como Renaissance, Hope Recordings de Nick Warren, Plattenbank de Guy Mantzur  & Sprout de D- Nox entre otros. Compartido cabina con grandes referentes como: Nick Warren, Guy J,  Pryda, Dave Seaman, D-Nox, Soundexile, Roy Rosenfeld, Martin Garcia, Baunder, Facu Carri, Marcelo Vasami, Mariano Mellino, Deep Mariano, Diego Roca, Mariano Trocca, entre otros.

Participó en algunos años, del actual evento electrónico mas grande de Europa Street Parade. También participó del super evento Swiss Nightlife Award, donde le tocó hacer el Warm Up a Eric Pridz. Sus producciones son pinchados por Hernan Cattaneo, su primer lanzamiento fue en el renaissance master series de Nick Warren donde obtuvo un gran ingreso con el sello discográfico del mismo Nick Warren en Hope Recordings. Hoy en día reside en Misiones
