Hey everyone!

Today we're finally uploading our Sao Pauli Summer Mix that we recorded during our stay in Sao Paulo. In this Mix we wanted to catch the vibes of this wonderful and sunny city, where we had such a great time!

It wasn't our goal to create a DJ Set that represents our club oriented sound. Instead we wanted to reflect the good times and the music from our warm days and nights in Sao Paulo. 

The smooth and warm tunes are hopefully going to help everyone to survive the cold winter here in Europe and everywhere else around the world.

Burning Man: where each year brings a whirlwind of adventures, surprises, and moments that stick with you long after the dust settles. And in the midst of all that chaos, there's DISTRIKT; an oasis of fun and entertainment that looks straight from a Mad Max movie gone wild, takes the Burning Man experience to a whole new level. 

My inaugural gig at DISTRIKT two years back was a textbook case of Burning Man madness. Picture this: a monstrous sandstorm sweeping across the playa, me wandering around lost on my bike, fashionably late to my own set. But did DISTRIKT panic? Nah. They greeted me with a fresh smoothie to kickstart my DJing journey amidst the swirling dust. Classic!

Fast forward to my most recent escapade at DISTRIKT, and Mother Nature decided to throw a curveball — cue the floodwaters!! Yet, the flood came fashionably late, conveniently after my set. But that night? Dehydration was the name of the game. AND my Traktor, bless its digital soul, decided it wasn't in the mood to play nice with the mixer. And there I was, parched AF like a desert plant, with everyone and their playa cousins offering me water tequila while I attempted to update the mixer driver in a haze of confusion, and of course, the DISTRIKT gang was there on top of the whole process to get me up and running - literally and musically. 

In true playa fashion the show must go on. Cue the backup USBs swooping in to save the day. And just when I thought it couldn't get any wilder, in strolls Diplo himself, ready to unveil our collaborative masterpiece ‘Anthem' to the world (although at the time we did’t have name for it yet). But wait, there's more — did you know those dusty X1 Traktor controllers could go wireless? Neither did I, until Diplo schooled me, adding cowbells to our track live like a mad musical scientist.

So without further ado, here's a glimpse into that glorious night before the floods—a sonic journey through the madness and magic of DISTRIKT at Burning Man. Enjoy the ride.  ~ Sharam

In honor of releasing our 40th live mix from our Desert Hearts Festival, we couldn't be happier to share with you the most talked about set in the history of DH. Everything we knew about live House & Techno was completely blown away during this set as Rodriguez Jr. gave us the performance of a life time. Described by him as "One of the best parties he's ever played", the vibe was on another level, the music was through the roof, and his performance had everyone in a musical frenzy. We all had a feeling that Rodriguez Jr. was going to be the highlight of our Desert Hearts Spring Festival, but we had no idea that he was about to set the bar for every DJ & Performer at our festival moving forward. 8 years ago we started our camp Disco Knights and for our last voyage to bring our disco space ship to the playa, we thought what better way to celebrate and throw one of the best parties on the planet than having the legend Carl Cox https://soundcloud.com/carl-cox play a special sunrise house set for Disco Knights. What else can we say… one of the most charming DJs in the business. A musical ambassador and a veteran of acid house, a champion of techno, a dance music pioneer, label owner, King of Ibiza – you name it, Carl's been there and done it, never losing sight of his passions – playing music, breaking tunes, celebrating life, and more importantly, always playing the vibe on the dance floor and making people dance! This all was the perfect fit for the mission we embarked on 8 years ago; there are many amazing sound camps at Burning Man, but what we always tried to build and do different was to make DK all about the unique intimate vibe through the love vibrations that derived from the people that are willing to travel to the far side of the playa to party with us.

Disco Knights is honored to release the recording from a magical morning set from Carl Cox.  Carl nailed the sound and vibe this morning and Disco Knights family and friends were feeling it hard! Thank you, Carl! And thank you everyone who was there to make such a special morning!
