Panorama Bar resident Paramida has announced her second EP, via her own Love On The Rocks imprint. The ‘Moonrise VII’ EP includes 3 cuts of hands in the air, good time house, F1 tunnel rave and emotional dream house and flaunts her signature take on colourful, trance-inflected visions of the dance floor.

EP opener ‘Sailor Moon House’ merges beautiful, colourful and chaotic energy. An infinity cruise of pure joy, it’s hyper-colour trance clouds break to a shiny new dawn of driving rhythms, acid bass hooks and searching sonar pings. 

"After hours of watching YouTube footage from early 90’s beach raves in Goa, I was inspired to embody this spirit and somehow bring if back,” Paramida says. “I’d spent years telling artists that want to release on LOTR to try and do the same, to soundtrack that moment of ecstasy at 8am as the sun comes, then I realised I should just do it myself. That's essentially why I started making music, to capture that moment and what it means to me. Sailor Moon House is exactly that.”

Sounds of Lava Lava welcomes Darker Than Wax staple Halal Sol for their fourth release.  The Singaporean artist gained acclaim with his 2021 production debut on DTW which pulled in influences from House, Techno and Trance.  The rising DJ & Producer continues his fine run of form with two club-ready cuts drenched in classic House sounds.

With his title track ‘How Many’ Halal Sol lays down a raw and fun House track.  Weighty kicks, crunchy percussion, chopped vocals and sub-heavy bass stabs give a driving energy to this cut right from the start.  As the track draws you further in, warm pads swirl around lush vocals and squelching synth lines giving a perfectly balanced peak time groove.

On the B Side, ‘Cussing is Bad’ is a bright and uplifting nod to Chicago House.  Shuffling percussion breaks up the classic 4/4 groove and skips alongside a bouncing plucked bass line.  Muffled interview samples, shimmering keys and airy pads combine to create a euphoric track which blends 90’s House influences with modern production sensibilities.

Ruinas boss Black Pomade is gearing up for the launch of a brand new series called Manzo Edits for, you guessed it, a carefully curated selection of edits from friends and peers. For the debut release he invites WONDER, AEF and DHP AKA Life Dee to feature alongside him, as they all put their own stamp on a disparate sounds and styles. Every edit is primed for club play, but there's a bit of something for everyone. It launches with dark, percussive synth-pop before settling into a funky old school breaks and chugging acid grooves, all rounded off with a disco house edit to get the floor moving.

The start of the week was always like this - uneventful and unproductive, a time for wallowing and indulging… all in all, just another average Monday.

Helsinki imprint Echocentric and Leipzig’s R.A.N.D. are joining forces for their next release, a dose of rhythmic proggy goodness from Lithuania-based producer Pletnev. Both labels know their onions - between them they’ve put out plenty of dance floor gems over the last few years from the likes of Abdul Raeva, DJ Life, Reflex Blue and Gnork. After a contribution to Baby Rollen's VA on Slump, the duo's next release is Grace on Kulture Galerie's first vinyl release, also a VA, which is just called Volume One and contains four tracks. Abdul Raeva's track Grace is a spaced-out, deep yet minimalistic rolling piece, which captivates the listener due to its energy and sound prosperity taking the listener on or rather through atmospheric sceneries in space.
